Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind from being punished by God for our sins. As Christians, the Ramseys too probably believed that Jesus, as the ultimate scapegoat, suffered and died in their place, and in so doing, washed their sins away and saved their souls from eternal damnation. Because of that, I've always felt that S.B.T.C in the note stood for Saved By The Cross...although the Talking Battleship concept is certainly intriguing.

I had no problem loading the first newsclip and viewing it right from the link. I don't have DSL and it took about 6 min. to load.

Thanks. It was interesting to watch the demo. Too bad they cut some from it.

But the video played. I was surprised how easily Smit went through the window and jumped down to the floor.

Video played Great! Thanks.

Smit talks of going out that window - but wasn't that through the door held closed by the chair?

Also, noticed he was touting the "open window" again.

Where did that little piece of glass come from (found on the suitcase)?

First video file worked perfectly! No problems with it. At a certain point Smit start to talk about the suitcase, but to all he is doing is speculating on a lot of thing and has absolutely no proof that what he says is what really happened.

And if you remember there was a suitcase that was right underneath this window. And if he figures he has to go out of this window, he may think that it would be much easier if there was something to stand on.

And on top of this suitcase was a very small tiny piece size piece of glass, which may have been picked up by a persons shoe and a faint impression possible a footprint on the suitcase. And that suggest very strongly to me that perhaps somebody did stand on that suitcases at some time. Perhaps to go out of the window or perhaps just to test to see if you could go out of that window.

But I can speculate as well. An intruder may think that is would be easier to take another point of exit, so that he would not have to stand on a small edge of a suitcase that could have easily have tipped over, giving the intruder a maybe a harder time to get out or even fall and wounding, maybe even severely him during the fall he could have made. Possible even making it impossible to leave the house as he could break an arm or maybe a leg or maybe even worse

That piece of glass (I am not going to repeat the tiny piece etc :D) could have landed on the suitcase when John Ramsey broke the window, to enter the house when he didn’t have his keys.

That faint impression possible wasn’t a footprint, but merely a smudge or a stain which could have been there for ages.

At some time, what time? Weeks ago, months ago, years ago?

Perhaps someone did just test to see if you could get out of that window, to make it a part of the staging of a crime scene and perhaps that someone lived in the house.

This would be the Smit-coming-in-through-window file? That is a Windows Media Video file, so what I will do is make an .mpg and see if that works for you.

Edited to add:

To anyone who has had trouble downloading videos, try this latest link and see if it works for you. If it does, that helps me in creating files which will reach the widest audience.

Ditto--unable to load/see-hear! Enjoyed your URL...wonder if John has a "made-to-believe conscience" in regards to the following in your posted URL(?):
"He is just passionate about making the rest of his life worth something," she said. "

Lou's nearly 200 solved cases is a good indicator that his agenda as a detective is to solve crimes regardless of the perpetrator's color, religious convictions or social standing.

There are cases where he has arrested Christians who have been guilty of commiting crimes. There are no known cases where he has avoided arresting anyone, Christian or otherwise, for any reason, when there was the proof to back up the arrest, much less as a result of some silly subconcious theological pseudo-predicament as BrotherMoon has proposed.

I'm not convinced the intruder was a pedophile or that he came in thru the window. So I disagree with some of Smit's conclusions but I don't doubt that if he lives long enough he will follow every lead he has until it leads to the guilty party, whoever he, or they is/are, even if he has to change his ideas to do so. I also don't doubt that if he became aware of some heretofore unknown fact that incriminated P & JR he would not hesitate to follow that to their arrest and conviction.

The fact that he is not pursuing that path, despite the social and media pressure to do so is indicative of the fact that there is no evidence to arrest P & JR on probable cause let along win a conviction. If you want to continue believing in the Patsy did it theory (or JDI if you are DocG) you are faced with the problem of accepting Lou's general theory, that there was an intruder, or of attacking Lou ad hominem, not based on his history or the facts of the case.

Lou may, or may not, be wrong about his conclusions, but he is pursuing criminals, not agendas.
