Lou's nearly 200 solved cases is a good indicator that his agenda as a detective is to solve crimes regardless of the perpetrator's color, religious convictions or social standing.
There are cases where he has arrested Christians who have been guilty of commiting crimes. There are no known cases where he has avoided arresting anyone, Christian or otherwise, for any reason, when there was the proof to back up the arrest, much less as a result of some silly subconcious theological pseudo-predicament as BrotherMoon has proposed.
I'm not convinced the intruder was a pedophile or that he came in thru the window. So I disagree with some of Smit's conclusions but I don't doubt that if he lives long enough he will follow every lead he has until it leads to the guilty party, whoever he, or they is/are, even if he has to change his ideas to do so. I also don't doubt that if he became aware of some heretofore unknown fact that incriminated P & JR he would not hesitate to follow that to their arrest and conviction.
The fact that he is not pursuing that path, despite the social and media pressure to do so is indicative of the fact that there is no evidence to arrest P & JR on probable cause let along win a conviction. If you want to continue believing in the Patsy did it theory (or JDI if you are DocG) you are faced with the problem of accepting Lou's general theory, that there was an intruder, or of attacking Lou ad hominem, not based on his history or the facts of the case.
Lou may, or may not, be wrong about his conclusions, but he is pursuing criminals, not agendas.
