September's child said they do have a car and I know they have used trailing dogs because they picked up her scent which is what led them to the lake. After this long LE usually does use cadaver dogs if they have a location and I'm sure I read that they were using dogs recently around the lake but didn't specify that they were cadaver dogs. Septembers Child also stated that the lake is in a different direction than the school, the dogs will pick up the last route taken.

If there is parent involvement it could be a situation of them using drugs as SC has stated they do and she was struck with fatal consequences and the lake idea is a cover up by them. I know if I was LE that's what I'd be thinking.

You might check the goole arial maps and see what you can find on that.

I believe in this and I saw two areas of interest but the map is old. I am trying to find a newer map.

Thanks for the suggestion Mysterview... I've actually checked out September's Child's google map link (THANK YOU September's Child), and I find it difficult to distinguish the types of trees from the air... might be just me but I can't do it with any accuracy.

Are they evergreens between Forrest Road SW and Rose Road SW? If so, is there a brown shack? Or is there a grouping of evergreens closer to the home? It doesn't have to be a forrest... it might be difficult to access because there is a fence around it? Or its "industrial type" property?

Prayers for Maura... I tried the link you gave and it showed me a JPG of trees... looks like there are evergreens in the pic... but its only a small area and I have no reference to where it is....

There are a TON of trees and in the center some round brownish/concret structure that at first looked like a water tower/building, but could be a sports center or utility building.
It's very strange, but yes, LOTS of trees....
click on various parts of the map, zoom in and out.
It's hard to manuever, but once you get to playing with it you can see what I mean...

Also, there are a lot of trees by this big body of water and there's a browish area of maybe docks?? I can't tell.
Did she mention water involved?

When LE was tlaking about checking our a "pond" how big of a pond or body of water were they talking about? This body of water from the aerial view I am seeing is HUGE. Is this a lake or something?
I can't tell from these pictures.

I'm still using September's Child's link to know what the streets are called and I'd love to know what the two brown SQUARE buildings are between W.Thorn Lane, Portland Avenue and Orchard Street SW are. They appear to be on private property and there is a grouping of trees which "could" be evergreens....

Since its immediately North of the apartment complex its really close to her home!

Well, I finally got the link to post. You have to forgive me, it's been a long day and I was not posting correctly.
That body of water looks huge and there are a bunch of trees and boats and what seem to be vacant areas around there. Granted, the ariel shots are a few years old, but you can clearly see trees, water, etc.

I want to find more recent ones.
Will be back.

Another area that interests me is a large parking lot where Woodlawn Street SW and Maple Street SW intersect. In the Northwest edge of the parking lot a brown building? (I'm not totally sure its a building... but its a little bigger than a car) is visible on the PrayersforMaura map. Is this an evergreen tree area? It looks like its "off the beaten track".

Sure hope she is found. Been checinking out these maps...i am definitly not good at this, basically a numbers person...not visual.

I was using my satellite software and looking over some of the areas that you all have mentioned, there are several locations that look remote, she is within a 10 spuare mile area from her home gravely lake is one location that I would consentrate on, carter lake, there are a number of these small lakes within the immediate area and of course silcox island in the middle of american lake, have the search teams looked on that island? it is possible that she was walked in the direction of american lake the night before. I wonder about the abandoned boat, does anyone know anything about it? was it on a trailer? or pulled up onto the shoreline? no one, including other kids in the neighborhood never saw her that morning so to me, she never left home on that morning. she was harmed overnight,and in the cover of the night, was when she was disposed of. if the parents really had nothing to do with this, why are they not out looking and asking questions? parents of missing children don't go out and party when their baby is missing! there is only one line of truth to the real facts and the stepdad goofed that up when he changed his story from walking her half way to school to watching her walk up the street.
