GUILTY WA - Amy Mullins, 39, murdered, Rochester, 21 July 2007

I just really don't understand things like this. When a couple has children, how does the hatred build to such a point they don't think about their own chldren. The kids end up losing both parents. Nothing and no one in the world would drive me to make my children so unhappy. Prayers to her family.

I would give anything if we had the answer to that.

Case Summary:

Amy Detmar - Mullins of Rochester WA went missing on July 21st, 2007 around 9:30am.

Two days later on July 23rd, her body was found.

Her estranged husband Steven Mullins was taken into custody and booked that day. The trial is finally to begin October 27th, 2008.

I don't think there will be live coverage due to it being a small town.

OLYMPIA – A Thurston County jury convicted Steven Mullins on Thursday of fatally strangling his estranged wife and putting her body in an abandoned refrigerator near his Rochester property in July 2007.

Thank you for the update, I am very relieved to find there is a resolution in this case.
Although his stepdaughter had endured the hardship of testifying, her voice has been heard.

Her daughter, now 16, testified at the trial of her step dad.
I would assume she now lives with her father.

So glad this man will be in prison.
