GUILTY WA - Ben Eastman, 16, raped and murdered, Lewis County, 23 Jun 2018

  • #161
We do have the death penalty by lethal injection here in Washington. It’s hard to grasp what motive would lead these two boys to kill their childhood friend. With the anger, hostility, the pure hate they had to have felt to commit such violent acts.

Then here’s their mother with the knowledge her boys killed Eastman. She LIES to LE that she believed Eastman was simply using drugs and would likely be home in a few days. Further stating that Eastman “was like a son to her.”
IMO there’s a special kind of evil here.

I read a book years ago, “Children who Kill -A Family Conspiracy?” The book brought out how a parent can covertly encourage murder within a family. Simply by conveying hostile messages.

Perhaps it wasn't pure hate? They are all likely to be sociopathic morons. Honestly think about someone you hate and then try to picture yourself killing them while they plead and cry for their life. -- I couldn't do it.

But that book sounds really good tho.

In some cases we see, we know right away the "why" of the crime, but this one...

Was it just for a lark -- to see if they could kill somebody? A dare? Sexual? As we know, too, motive is not required to show/prove in a trial, but the prosecutors know that motive is a big factor in the mind of the jurors. Why did he/she/they do it? I hope we will find out what their "reason" for this was.

Why?
I have a class reunion coming up in a couple weeks and I recently picked up one of my yearbooks from my Mother. Looking through the pages, I saw the "Benjamin" of my class -- you know, the kid that everybody likes: from the Janitor to the Principal, Classmates to Coaches, Storekeepers to Clergy. From all accounts, that's the kind of kid that Ben was, and what happened to him just shatters the mind doesn't it? I'm so very grateful that I've encountered more "Benjamin's" in my life than "Benny's." But what if Benny and Jonnie didn't show any signs of evilness before June 24? That community will never be the same. By the time the gavel falls, we won't be the same either....

Thanks for the info @Niner You know for me it’s really to soon to think about separate trials. I believe there is more evidence investigators are compiling. We don’t know if more charges will be added to one or both defendants, or charges amended on one of them. If charges are added or amended I’d sure want a separate trial. The pictures not clear enough for me yet.

I was just saying - usually when they have separate court dates, they have separate trials. Well, as far as I've seen here on some other cases!
Yes, we shall see.

Somewhat surprised about media's "radio silence" on Thursday's arraignments but maybe it's in effort to protect the prosecution, and not prejudice the jury pool of Lewis County. The only news I found was the County's docket calendar effective July. It corroborates that Weds, and Thurs are reserved for Criminal hearings, and Trials commence on Monday's.

I've believed from the start that Jonathon will do anything he can to mitigate his sentence-- especially given that Benny has Supreme Court on his side relative to Juvenile sentencing guidelines. I don't know if this was an error but I see that JA original arrest charge listed as 2nd Degree Murder before amended to 1st Degree.... Curiouser and curiouser...

Exaggeration and gossip aside, It’s obvious through msm, the Court system records and further online research their mother is rightfully being attacked and vilified.

IMO, She will forever wear a sign above her head: The mother of Ben Eastman’s Murderers.

Other than covering for her ^$*& spawn, is Mommy Kindra a known felon or law breaker that you know about? Her lawyer successfully plead with the court that she had "no criminal history" --getting her bail reduced from $1M to $100k; and even permission to leave the county if/when she is released! How much worse does this get? More arrests pending? Credible sources please. Thanks...

No felonies for Kindra. What I did was do a timeline, starting with her 4 oldest kids. I then took each of her last names she has used. I started pulling her up in the WA ST Courts and found court cases with ex husbands and baby daddy’s, And their criminal histories. News paper articles some were both fairly recent and archived. I’d sure lay it all out here, but we can’t sleuth all these other people. I sleuthed her entire family. There is a lot of background info. It takes a bit of time. But it will help to understand these kids lifestyle a bit more.

Oh no-- it does get worse: a Mother of 4 or 6?

We know there's JA, BM, a Sister, +??

How many baby daddy's total?

I don't do FB/SM .

And with such an experienced, extended family, I'm still surprised Mother has not made bail.

Cheers!

She has 6. I went through FB a while ago and figured out the baby daddies but unfortunately I can't remember which kids went with which baby daddy and I don't want to give misinformation. I do clearly remember that Benny's father was a violent felon that has done prison time.

There is one son a year older than JA, different father. 3 sons 3 daughters. 2 husbands 2 baby daddy’s substantiated.
The criminal records on the men were staggering. I am thinking on the family making bail and I’ve been wondering if they wouldn’t be jeopardizing themselves. She will never be able to live in Lewis County. I’ve been on several assessors websites. Her parents do own property in other county’s as does her extended family. And they wouldn’t be hard to find the tax records takes you right to their doors.

February 14, 2018 at 7:02 pm

The bill passed on a bipartisan vote and now heads to the House for consideration. Previous efforts to ban the death penalty have failed in recent years, despite a moratorium put in place by Gov. Jay Inslee in 2014.

UPDATE : March 8, 2018

Not this year.

The death penalty will live on in Washington after the latest effort to abolish the practice came to a screeching halt in the final week of the 2018 legislative session.

Senate bill 6052 marked the most successful attempt in the past five years — and possibly ever — to erase the state’s death penalty and replace it with life in prison without parole.

I hope this is admissible if not admin my apologies.
This is off topic in this thread. However it is an ‘Unlawful Detainer Action” (Eviction) that was filed against Kindra Adamson AKA Kindra Marquez on June 14, 2018, in the Lewis County Court. Here is the link for the case. Just enter her name.
