On his Facebook page, confirmed as his by a Washington State Patrol law enforcement officer, Mr. Cetin’s interests include first-person shooter videogames and weightlifting.

His intense interest in a specific girl has also prompted concern from friends. In 2014, he posted on Facebook that he is “in a relationship.” Friends commented that they like his sense of humor, and his attempts at a Russian accent, but one woman, who says she and Mr. Cetin were in the Reserve Officer Training Corps, a military training program, wrote in 2012, “Truth is: you are a very odd character.”

In 2011, he cheered the death of Osama bin Laden, writing on his Facebook page, “Osama bin Laden is dead. AMERICA, F--- YEAAA!” When friends make jokes about it, he scolds them, writing “please just don’t talk. you’re ruining a NATIONAL MOMENT.”




But his posts suggest he also had difficulties with girls. He wrote on his Facebook page that he needs “***** repellent.” He then pleads with friends to persuade a girl he likes to unblock him from Facebook. Friends scold him for being obsessed with her, and he wrote, “I don’t stalk her.”

In one, he is heavy set, standing in a modest living room and holding a rifle across his chest, and pointed up while staring into the camera. Behind him, an older man is sitting on a couch smiling.
Near the photo, he writes “Me and my uncle’s M16. No gay comments yes I was fat. Cmon I lost 50 pounds.” In more recent photos he has slimmed down, grown his hair longer and is wearing all-black while gripping a rifle.

That is an interesting question. All girls aren't sweet peaches and cream either and can be quite intentionally hurtful and catty to some men when its uncalled for. Some seem to be thrilled when they can humiliate men when they have the opportunity. I don't understand that any more than I do when men do the same thing. I suppose if some men do run across this type of female often they may start harboring anger for all females in general. That total illogical reason does exist in both genders. Just like I have seen some women who had one bad relationship with a man, even their husband of many years or long time boyfriend, and because of that ONE bad relationship, they then cop a nasty attitude about ALL males in general. So I guess it sort of like the same thing.

It is very interesting to read about the profile of male serial killers and many have had an extreme love/hate relationship with their mother or a mother figure while growing up. The profilers say they will often pick female targets who has the same kind of physical features as the female who was dominating in their lives while growing up and they fantasize it is that woman who they have a deep seeded hatred for and pretend they are actually murdering them instead of the real victim. Creepy. It seems like uncontrollable displaced anger/hatred because most female victims of serial killers don't even know them.

Yet, more males are murdered by other males each year than men who murder females. Out of the approximate 12-13K who are victims of homicides each year around 3,700 of them are female victims. Its fascinating how the mind works for those who kill but trying to understand the mindset of an individual murderer is almost impossible.IMO If there were substantiated supporting factors positively identifying who will kill and who will not.... then maybe some of these murders could be prevented before they happened but to date no mental health doctor can predict who will kill before it happens.

Two individuals can go through the same horrific trauma and one will give in to a life of dysfunction including criminal activities while the other individual will pick themselves up and become a very productive citizen. That has always fascinated me too.

However; this guy brought on all of his own troubles. He seemed to know no boundaries and was way over the top even groping females that were his classmates. So of course most teens/women wouldn't want to be around someone like him. He felt entitled to act this way for some reason which makes me think that not only does he have a deep seeded hatred for women in general but he doesn't respect women either.

Since he seems to be a loner and misfit I wonder if he spent a lot of time watching violent against women?

His driver's license photo shows arrogance and contempt. Sounds like he was inappropriate and sexually harassed females at his HS. Anger issues aimed at step-father and females that he felt rejected by. He wasn't adapting to Western culture very well.

Perhaps the first trip was to check if there were security guards around the path he planned on taking. I certainly hope we find out why this shooting took place.

Maybe the anger comes from mother marrying an American Navy man? At his age he was already accustomed to his country, his friends, family, enviroment, the mother remarries and changes his world to western culture..............making him furious? Then girls are different here? he just doesn't fit in? Step dad had others rules that he would not listen to?

Sometimes, such in this case, we see that firearms were obtained by theft from a parent or step-parent who obtained them legally. One general measure that couldn't hurt would be for parents and step-parents to keep their guns accessible only to themselves.

I agree , its a mass shooting IMO. His perp walk is very strange, the he stares at the camera, paranoid! It also looks like right before the one I saw he actually turn his head arround to contiunue with his vacant stare at the camera-- the eyes they are off.

The zombie refereance cant be forgotten IMO, they are like that very flat, not there, "just off". Obviuly has little impulse control, obviouly conflicted relationship with son, and it would seem to me the fights were pretty violent.

At some level, I would think adults in the pariential role would hesitate to call LE on a kid. I wonder if Muslim ( or whatever ) culture values the keep our family business to ourselves notions?

I find the first entry and exit very strange also. Typically these folks dont really care if they get caught or die.

If your plan is to go shoot a bunch of people the notion to check things out seems weird. I think part of the answer would be did X work in that dept. That would at least explain the location hunt prior.

I would also think there has to be a sudicide angle to all of these - so maybe he was "ready" and when got there and she was not there - his deal was f&&& I&
Same thing with NY bomber, I really cant believe that anyone in this day and age does realize or CARE (key) about all the cameras on the planet.

That has to indicate some inifference to getting caught, living etc. Any info on stepfather - drinking? DId step dad abuse mom?? Son in role of protector?

The wieght gain could indicate incresing depression - obviously not a happy home. How long were they married?

I think he is off --the griend moved to a different county- when I first read that I thought they probably had NO contact and he would not know she changed jobs?
