Can someone remind me, as I'm losing the details of this case now, was Cheryl's mobile found? If so where? What about her purse/wallet and hand bag?

Mine does notice what I'm wearing if we're going out for the evening, but I was thinking about the early morning rush around here when getting ready to go out to work and I'm sure he'd be clueless as to my clothes. 30 years together, he doesn't notice the every day stuff any longer, and I do get away with buying new shoes ;-)

I'll call him at work tomorrow and test him on this!

I was just about to post this link - thanks I want to point out that the article mentions "202nd Street SW," but I believe they really mean NE 202nd Street, which would be about 3 blocks south of the culvert, in King County (which has a different street numbering system than Snohomish County). 244th SW is actually the county line, and is 244th SW on the north side of the street, and NE 205th St on the south.

Just didn't want anyone to think the search area was HUGE (there is a 202nd SW, but it is way north and not related to any of Cheryl's case).

ETA: I wonder if this will become a prosecutor's nightmare, depending on what evidence is found in each county??

With just the information we've been given now, things are not adding up for me.

There are so may unusual circumstances: CD driving a car she normally didn't drive; parking in a spot she normally didn't park in; potentially forgetting both of her passes (I think someone mentioned her ORCA pass was also at home) when normally she wouldn't forget them; not promptly texting when she normally would have. Individually, they wouldn't be given much thought, but together it's all a bit too much for me to swallow the stranger theories. I hope I'm wrong.

Police obtained a search warrant to look in the vehicle, a 1988 Subaru Legacy, only to find a book, Caw said. Police impounded the car to process for evidence, he said. Investigators have not recovered DeBoer’s purse.

In an interview with her mother and sister, they stated that her cellphone had not been found either.

In the article I posted a few posts ago has now been updated to include what was said at the presser (with the main thing being that there has been no activity on Cheryl's cellphone since Monday at 7 a.m.; it also says that the police "are trying to pinpoint her cellphone location when she last texted the friend," and that they don't know where her phone is):

That is the main reason I believe she voluntarily left her vehicle and got into a vehicle with someone else. What would be the two most obvious items a woman would grab before jumping into a car with someone else....? Her purse and her cellphone.

wait a minute im gonna go see where that sw is as i saw police yesterday n i believe her husband n truck talking above cd home but i didnt want to rumor my spotting brb

I think someone yesterday posted a quote yesterday that her phone has not been found. So that's missing then.

if that is a TYPO ....the streets are so screwy out there can you tell me how far that 202nd sw is from 48th ave sw and 216th St SW

I think it's important to remember at this time that not everything we hear from law enforcement is true. They are allowed to "fib" to the public and anyone involved in the case in if it can get them more info for their investigation. People seems to always take what the police say at face value.

i have driven by it for over 28 yrs i have never gotten out of my car to look but my opinion no but im gonna call mymom n ask her it might be a stream/creek that flows thru it or a pipeline i dont live in the area i have 5 family different homes live in the exact area of this whole investigation i will check with them maybe another local nows im just unsure but we have had alot of rain maybe its water flow backed up not sure

I do not see a complete stranger abducting Cheryl in her car, making her drive off, killing her, dumping her body in broad daylight and then returning her car to the car pool area. IMO that did not happen.

I also do not think for one second that she was accosted and forced to leave on foot, walked into the culvert in broad daylight and killed or that she was forced into another vehicle and then dumped in the culvert in broad daylight.

I do not put any stock in any theory that she committed suicide in the culvert. NONE.

and that theory is perfect that road is dark very dark gloomy n lonely after hours perfect opportunity time if this is what happened very plausible and on point and i too am dying to know where she was saturday or sunday super bowl night

Or maybe they didn't know if she could locate her badge, like where it was in the house, and if there was other work there she needed to pick up as well, and asked how long do you think it will take?
IMOO.

Someone local addressed this and said it may have been inconvenient to loop around and go back to her house depending on which way they were coming in. I think if I knew other people needed to get to work , I would tell them to go ahead without me. I probably would have called my husband and asked him to bring me the badge if he was still home or would have done without it . It is so sad to think that one small decision like that could alter lives dramatically.

Have you seen LE vehicles there when you have passed by her home? Does it look like any searches were done up there? Any tape up? Any large LE vehicles?
