Hmm... Is there a murderer targeting women in their 50s, near water, in the general area? This could be far-fetched.
Hmmm....
Not often AT ALL! I wish there was more information about Marianne. I'm thinking her thread needs to come alive again. It also happened on a Monday, and she was found in water. Maybe it's not so farfetched, but it is unusual. How often do we hear about a number of 50-something mom's vanishing and being found in water?

And the same juristiction?!? No cause or manner of death released in Marianne's case either. A busy month for the ME and perhaps an uncomfortable similarity for the coroner? It also happened on a Monday, and she was found in water. Maybe it's not so farfetched, but it is unusual. If the two are connected, I wonder if it's sexually motivated. Perhaps they end up in water to wash away evidence.
People don't often think of sexual assault with this age group, but sexual assault isn't usually about sex.*
*even if it was, people of all ages are sexual.
Different jurisdictions. Which, if connected, might make sense. The perp might want to move around a bit to *try* to avoid anyone noticing the pattern. And the same juristiction?!? Could she have been walking towards her commuting location, then realized she hadn't her work ID, texted her friend, then on approach back to her car, was forced into the passenger seat? The perp could have then drove off with her, killed her, disposed of her, and then drove her car back, long before the husband got a call.
Or, could she have texted her friend, then made it home, found someone breaking into her house, and was then assaulted? Oh, but wasn't the phone disabled at near
the park & ride.

I agree that it's a slim chance. But I don't think it's completely ridiculous to consider, at all.Not to be morbid but there are over three million people in Seattle and the surrounding areas, murder is almost an everyday occurrence around here. Slim chance they are related, in my opinion.
