It's barely 4pm there? In any case please be careful Kammiemc.

Don't worry. I was with my dog, son and sig other--all males. And it was broad daylight. Very interesting to see it in person.

Her husband reported that he last saw his wife before going to work at roughly 6:50AM, so she was alive and well at that time. Surveillance video shows Cheryl leaving her house approximately 10 minutes after her husband left the house. The husband has been ruled out, and is not a person of interest.

How should Cheryl be alive at 6:50AM Monday morning, and not be alive on Monday?

The Everett Herald stated that the husband was seen leaving on the surveillance camera at 6:50 AM. Cheryl left at 7:00 AM and the husband arrived to work in Mukilteo at 7:15 AM.

No where in the article did it specifically say that Cheryl was seen on the surveillance camera. It just said she left, which is much different than saying Cheryl was on the surveillance camera.

Also, polygraph tests are not backed by science or reliable. I don't think we know yet if Cheryl was seen in the video. I have not seen any information come out to show that.

-the culvert is VERY close to the house and also a straight shot from where her car was found parked. Someone could have dropped her there from either place within a few mins tops.

-the culvert is very visible from the street. I don't know how nobody noticed her body if it had truly been there since Mon AM.
A very strange place to put her considering that it was not a good "hiding" place when there are so many good hiding places in the area. It is a fairly busy intersection. (I had to wait for cars to pass to cross with my dog.) I imagine someone pulling over and haphazardly throwing her over the concrete into the culvert. A true dump.

Very very interesting, and did you get a chance to check out the wooded side of the culvert? I believe she was dumped in that end, not the end opening onto the grass.

The thing with a poly, in my book, it also shows the Willingness to take one, or the unwillingness to take a poly. And the unwillingness to take one, would make me question what would they have to hide, ya know?
Her husband took a poly. :)
IMOO.

Thank you for confirming what I suspected. Definitely done in a rush without regards to whether she would be found fast or not. Just quickly get rid of her. Someone in a hurry?

I definitely think someone was in a super hurry. It is just such a visible place it would be very obvious to the perp that she would be discovered quickly. Just across 244th street is more far more hidden part of the creek. Also right across Cedar is a far more hidden part of the creek. I think the perp just stopped the car and threw her in there, which could explain why she could have been half in the drain instead of all the way. The direction the water flows dictates that she wasn't moved there from the current--plus it isn't deep or fast moving.

236th street goes directly from Cedar (maybe 1-2 blocks from the culvert) all the way to 58th where her car was parked one block off 236th. After having driven around there it seems like a very big possibility that someone killed her when she was leaving her house or in her car, drove her in her own car to the culvert (maybe two mins max) then took 236th st (where the camera picked up the car at 56th) then parked her car where they knew she parked it on 58th. (To make it look random instead of targeted.) The whole trip from her house to the culvert to where her car was parked would be like 5-6 mins I think. (Wonder if they can see who was driving her car on 236th.)

The pics are 1. Where they found her. 2. The far more hidden creek across 244th. 3. The muddy path through the park that is hardly a shortcut and very unappealing for a woman to walk on alone at any time, especially at dawn, especially in work shoes . Thank you Kammie for checking out those areas firsthand for us!

This is kind of funny. It's my bday, which is the ONLY reason my family was so kind to entertain my curiosity by joining me on the mission. It's about 15 mins in Sat traffic from my house.

Thank you so much for that!

The culvert/creek looks wider than I had envisioned it. The culvert is probably much easier to access, to leave her in the more hidden part of the creek they would have had to carry her? The culvert at the road is really quick, I suppose.

Happy birthday Kammie! Thanks for doing this. (It's my daughters bday too)

That culvert just freaks me out. I can't say I've seen many in my life! Poor Cheryl. No one deserves to end up in one of those. [emoji35]

Which direction was the water flowing?

The water is flowing into the culvert. There is a large pipe draining water into it on the left hand side. But there is no way her body came out of that pipe. Someone threw over the concrete down in that culvert or MAYBE jumped down and placed her there. There is nowhere for them to have parked except for a street maybe 60 feet away? But I have hard time believing someone carried her that far at that intersection.

Thanks for the pic of the brook that runs down into the culvert from the other side. I had tried to imagine what it was like from that side.
And your dog is sooo cute!
Happy birthday too.

Off topic: I can just imagine your family saying well it's your birthday today, what would you like to do? Your treat.
Well actually I'd like to go... :)

I am wondering if she was in the back of a truck perhaps? Thrown from there?
So, then that could make it 2 perps? One to drive, and one to "dump".
Maybe someone then got out of the truck after throwing her over and tried to hide her better? Even if only half way?
That could solve the time value of that, a quick dumping of the body.I guess at that point, they would be driving from north to south so that they would be on the right side of the street?
IMOO.

She was not in on THAT side but he other side of the culvert. The opening next to the WELCOME TO MOUNTLAKE TERRACE sign.

Flowers are on that side because police had the other taped off for a few days.
