There is still information missing to give an appropriate correct reason for "her murder".
Cheryl was targeted. The reason? Herself perhaps. (They wanted Cheryl.) That's the only thing that I can come up with
with as little information that is known.
IMOO.

I can't come up with a scenario of her being specifically targeted since they've cleared the husband. If she was targeted by someone who knew her morning schedule, I don't think it's likely that she'd get to the point of being able to text someone about leaving her ID at home, then having to go home and get it. I mean, that would completely disrupt a pre-meditated plan if there was one, right? The whole plan would have been thrown off.

The husband was cleared, and it doesn't make sense that it would be someone else she knew (i.e. if she was having an affair or something), because of the whole ID badge thing. It WAS found out home, so that text was truthful, right? So that leaves a stranger/crime of opportunity.

Or suicide (which I'm leaning away from now, although it was my initial thought)

I don't think that it's weird to park further away rather than closer. Plenty of people wear fitness trackers and have a step goal. So, even with the parking lot not full she may have liked the extra walking time each day as a health benefit.

unless dude was originally planning on doing it at another earlier or later time? it may disrupt a pre meditated plan but i dont imagine would throw someone completely off from committing it.

good idea! sometimes it is advised to park away at farthest end of parking lot or take stairs to incorporate more exercise into your daily routine. but..that seems a bit odd to me if her friends say this isnt normal for her to park there.

She was targeted because they wanted her.
They didn't have to know her to want her.
She was the subject.
What purpose was there to take her?
That remains to be seen. Sexual assault? Thrill kill? Did she have something they wanted?
What did they want?
It seems personal to me because her phone and credit cards have not been used.
Now, whether she knew or did not know the perp or perps I hope we will find that out,
and I hope justice is served.

In relation to the subject of the text messages, her niece was very clear about that in the press conference - which I can't find now - she even said that she wanted to clear something that was wrongfully in the midia.

She stated that her aunt after being asked by the colleague about how long would it take to retrieve the badge, she answered that it would take 10 mins. The colleague said she would wait for her.
And the niece added that her aunt was NOT thinking of taking the bus.

I hope I am not wrong translating it badly in my head while listening to her niece stating it.

I want to add that her niece appeared to be nice, clear, pragmatic and very well spoken in that conference. She answered all the questions with great correctness, was very collected and deeply worried no doubt, but very composed and direct to the subject. What a great young lady that niece appears to be. Her aunt would be very proud of her!

Totally agree with this. I don't know why there are two conflicting stories. But I have seen and heard both, on video.

One thing we learned this weekend, Cheryl was not a grandmother. Here is part of her obituary:

I am the last person to be able to be sure about something related to the English language as I am a foreigner, but from what I understood from the niece words, Cheryl was, of course to go by carpool before the badge entered the story and was also to carpool after going for the badge. I mean, the colleague said she would wait and asked 'how much' and C said '10 mins' and said nothing else which was inferred by the colleague/friend that she (CD) would go back to carpool after having the badge. That's why the friend waited until 7.30 and when she didn't appear the colleague tried to cal her and the phone was off. Am I right or my interpretation is as gibberish as my English language? lol :blushing: I pity you for reading my texts, but I can assure you I do my best... but it must be a pain in the a**e :crosseyed: :runaway:

Oh thank you, understood now. I think the niece was only correcting the first statement. She said it was wrong and she spoke after the police said it first. So, I believe the niece to be accurate.
