Thank you MU42M. Oh... Boeing reminds me of plane's motors, of course, but also of Michele Anderson's :furious: father who worked for Boeing in WA all his life. Michele Anderson is a murderess who killed all her family (father, mother, brother, sister-in-law, a 5 yo niece and a 2 yo nephew) in Carnation WA because of hate, envy and greed... In 2014 Christmas Eve :'(

Can't believe it's already been a week since there was last an update on Cheryl's case from LE.... (the cuts on the fingers).

I know they said the forensics will take time and to have patience, but, I guess I don't have enough patience. It'd be really nice to get something ​new.

Is anyone familiar with the Angela Gilbert case? I did not know about it until tonight. I was reading a Seattle Times article about Cheryl and a commenter mentioned Angela. She has never been found, but I'm curious if anyone that is familiar thinks this could anyway be connected even thought there are several years of a gap between the two events.

She disappeared with another person who was later found dead in the Stillaguamish River. They never said if they thought it was a stranger abduction. But cops have never pursued any persons of interest, reason unknown.

With no new news from the police, the local rumor mill is in overdrive. I've now had people around us claiming to have inside information from the family and LE give completely contradictory information and theories. I hope LE talks soon.

I hope so, too. I can't imagine what toxicology reports will add to what the medical examiner determined - whatever that may be. It's very nerve-wracking for us in the community. I cannot begin to imagine how her family is dealing with this, though perhaps they know a bit more than we do.

Say if it was results from the medical examiner. The family surely would be privy to those results. What is stopping the family from talking to the news station? LE?
Is the public in danger?
Wouldn't the family want to tell the public that the public could be in danger?
Or was Cheryl the only target?

If the family is privy to any information that has not been shared by LE to the public, my guess is that LE has instructed them to keep that information to themselves while the investigation is on-going. If the family has information they are not sharing, I respect their reasons for keeping details to themselves. I can only imagine what it must be like to be in their shoes...where everyone is dissecting Cheryl's life and speculating about horrors she might have endured. If I were in their shoes I believe my reaction would be that the details are "none of their business".

Personally I believe the fact that LE has told the public in the MLT area to be aware of your surroundings and to stay alert (not to wear ear buds, etc.) speaks volumes.

The other post was about information rumored claiming to have inside info from the family, and LE being contradictory.
If the family kept the information to themselves and not talked to MSM, that is one thing. But if the family talked to others and everyone was supposed to have kept quiet, and it is contradictory, then Someone spoke somewhere, if whatever these rumors are, are true.
Then somebody didn't keep something to themselves.
And the info about people in MLT to stay alert in their surroundings, well, that goes without saying, in my book. Wherever anyone is, they should always be aware of their surroundings.

Good question. I would think the family would receive info as it is available, unlike the public, but I don't know. I hope they are getting what they need emotionally along the way. If that included details, I hope they have them.

Heck, some papers usually also don't feel shy to publish rumors, do they? But in this case it 's just silence all around, which especially after the recent fb rumor and LE's advice to be vigilant, seems very odd to me. Surely there's an article in there that would bring clicks? Isn't that what the media is mostly after? At this point even unimportant information would be gobbled up as long as it's something new. I think it is on purpose. My theory is, the suicide angle may be correct, and LE wants to wait to release findings after toxicology shows up. They are hoping that the flames will die down a bit and the family can deal with this in a more private manner. I think the media may know and, as they generally do, they try not to report on suicides. I think this would explain why they aren't screaming for an answer - and why they would be willing to let it go. Suicides aren't news.

It seems he family is posting on SM for anyone with info on this crime to contact police.

To me that seems they aren't on the suicide theory at all. But it also means that the other SM post may just be rumors. Or it's true and they have absolutely no clue who the bad guy is. IMO
