Unless it was a suicide.

I joined this group, was never welcomed aboard by members, probably because I am still the only holdout that thinks 'suicide' is a theory in this case. Reminder JMO.

I will repeat myself here…She was BRILLIANT, as portrayed by her family members, she worked in the medical field, she would know that water changes the decomposition of a body. JMO

Scenario: A woman 53/54 years of age, menopausal, is tired of doing the dutiful thing all the time…never missing days of school or work. Just plain old tired of the daily grind. Hides the way she feel for a very long, long time. She is in so much pain, it is excruciating 'inside' and she just wants release. Doesn't want to cause issues for the family, but just wants to end it. Her thoughts are to find relief from pain we can't understand. Plans this out and yes, walks. If you love to hike, this walk is nothing, you are so done! JMO

My sincere apologies for not welcoming you. I personally like reading your well thought out posts
It has nothing to do with your opinion, I am often on the wrong end of popular opinions.

I am just bad at welcoming people..

Welcome Eclipsed, glad you are here.

I can see your scenario happening, sometimes we just don't know how to go on, if it was suicide Cheryl certainly thought it over,

Hey Eclipsed,

I think many of us overlooked the fact that you were a new member as often new posters announce themselves as "new" or "first time poster here". I find myself responding to that kind of preemptive statement with a "welcome" as I rarely look at the post count up on the right of each post. Please don't feel slighted :)

Anyhow, I have appreciated your posts and the tenacity at which you have stuck to your theory as I have been wavering all over the place with this case. I guess many now have trouble with the suicide theory as it would have to involve a determined resolution and pre-planning for it to happen the way it did. The idea of such despair weighs heavily and for those unaccustomed to depression or crushing life events, any alternate theory is preferable to imagining that state of mind.

I join the chorus of belated "Welcomes"

Well I think we can all agree something Tragic happened here...
But it is very baffling.
Occam's Razor is a line of reasoning that says the simplest answer is often correct.
So what would the simplest answer to this be?

I have not seen any questions about her having any enemies.
Any arguments!

What I find ODD (but this is just my feeling) is how involved her workplace was and how they took over everything. Ill say again did she know something? Find out something about someone at work?
Was someone waiting there for her? Anyone follow her?

Just thought my friends just thoughts!

I don't find FH involvement to be odd. Cheryl worked there for 15 years, and likely made an impact on those around her. I would question more if they didn't get involved.

While police would not officially confirm the identity, Han Nachtrieb, vice president of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center human resources, released a statement stating that the body had been identified as DeBoer, our online news partner The Seattle Times reports.

Although it may not be at all suspicious, I will say it is the first time I have experienced this kind of news coming from anyone other than police or family.

It is quite possible that her work was speaking on behalf of the family and it wasn't worded as such

Well for the sake of an argument lol what if it was one of them that did it?

I mean they organized the search that found her...

If her husband went out to find her and did then he would immediately be suspect. he knew where to find her because he put her there.......

Know what I'm saying!

But don't u have to wait for LE confirmation to release it publically?
Guess not!

Sure one of the employees could be guilty. I still don't think that means it's odd that FH got involved. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

I don't know but wouldn't the police release this to family and or a press conference.
I can't see them releasing it to a company that Cheryl worked for without the consent of family
Perhaps , the family, being distraught, asked her former employees to take care of informing the public

Her body was found on the west side of the culvert. It is presumed the entry point was on the east end up current (near the MLT sign). There was a lot of rain the week we were searching for her so the current was pretty swift.

Thank goodness we got the answer to that one. I've asked several times, which direction the water was flowing. I was working under the understanding that the body was found on the east side, but it made more sense to me that the disposal site was actually on the west side and the body must traveled to the east because it would be easier to quickly dump a body on the west side with the passenger door hidden from the road. South on Cedar, right on 205th, pull over, pull CD out (2 feet) and drive on...2 minutes to the freeway. Stryker, why do they think the body was placed on the east side and moved west?
