What if someone subdued her with chloroform?? Would chloroform show up on toxicology? I just don't understand the bag over the head thing, because the natural inclination for us humans is to gasp for air once our air supply is compromised, and our hands would naturally go to our mouths/throats and take off anything impeding our airway. If she was chloroformed this could put other things into perspective. Anyone know anything about chloroform? It only lasts so long, right? Time enough to set up a murder and stage a scene, IMO.

Depending on how one is dressed for work, I might take note of a lone woman walking on the street in the early morning. And I would note their manner of walking - fast or rush cadence such as missing a bus or hurrying for a bus, or a woman clutching a purse tightly and looking a little lost, etc. Do we know if she was experiencing car troubles in the weeks leading up to 2/8?

Being this is the area of the park and ride wouldn't a lot of ppl be out walking.

And I think to get to the culvert she could just walk the residential areas . Person going to work.

In older threads it was discussed that the area near the culvert isn't very walkable. Locals said there are rarely pedestrians there.

There are residential areas between where her car was found and the culvert, though.
I wonder if she is on anyone's home security system if she chose to walk through neighborhoods?

Or, perhaps finally getting the long-awaited kitty could have given CD the peace of mind that her husband wouldn't be living alone if CD committed suicide? Just a thought; I'm still having a hard time subscribing to the suicide theory.

It's been mentioned that perhaps the razor was in her pocket and she forgot it was in there, put her hand in her pocket and that is how she cut one finger. I doubt this as there would be blood on the inside of her pocket or her coat as she withdrew her hand. Has this been mentioned?

Were the cuts severe enough to make her loose a lot of blood which would make her weak and the walk difficult or impossible?

Thing is, she went missing on Monday and by Wednesday or Thursday the cat was already picked up, so it didn't stay because too many people in the house, coming and going because Cheryl was missing… so maybe Cheryl didn't think of that, if it was suicide...

This was similar to my theory. Cheryl forgot her badge and was texting her friend. Someone walked up to her carrying an injured animal and asked for help getting it to a vet. Cheryl would do that in a heartbeat. They get in the car and set the animal down. They either had a gun or got hers from her thus the lack of struggle. They took the phone and powered it down. They grabbed the bag from her car and either walked her to their car or wherever. If it was her gun she would have known it was loaded and likely complied.
I am often grooming my cats and the phone or doorbell rings and I shove whatever in my back pocket and forget about it until I find it in the washer or dryer. I haven't done that with a razor blade but who knows.
I believe it was someone she knew or was familiar with.

Very interesting about her firearm. Justiceforcheryl, do you know if Cheryl usually carried her firearm with her to work every morning?

Is Cheryl's gun accounted for? Does LE know where it is, for certain?

This is something I'd like to know as well.

Its possible she wasn't thinking suicide when she got the cat.

I'm wondering what happened in the last few days before she chose to do this.

im just guessing but I bet his info has come from the dad and same goes for the survillance cams etc, this is just a guess though

I would like to now how much decomp occurs if you have been deceased for a week in a pool of cold water ? How can they tell what killed her, I would expect there would be all the things that happen to the body after death which might be destroyed...???

But there is a sidewalk leading right up to it and a road.
I posted a pic. let me see if I can find it again.
And there was a woman I believe that said she walked her dog around that area.
Are there bus stops on that road?

Exactly. If a woman "dressed for work" walked by my home before 8AM and I'd never seen her before, I'd DEFINITELY take notice and remember it!

I saw it. But I still don't think the park and ride would create a lot of foot traffic to that area, based on both locations. I haven't been there in several months, so I could be wrong.

I think Cheryl may have been able to dress casually for work. She may not look "dressed for work" to you because of that. What I wear to work is also what I'd wear to the grocery store! Also - IMO - this is not a small town. People will walk by houses that you do not recognize. Also, while that area has residences, I wouldn't call it residential in the sense that we think residential to mean "private". Residences may be there, but it is well traveled by people not exclusive to that neighborhood. just my opinion as I am of the area is all

It's not that she got a cat. It's that she waited months to get him because she had a trip planned and wanted to be home for an extended period to help him acclimate.

I believe her son said that she was thought to have been in there since the morning of her disappearance. I can't search via mobile so hopefully someone can find the post?
