She was 25 when her parents moved to South Africa.


There must be at least 16 years of age difference between these siblings and Rachel so it doesn't seem very likely that they'd have been physically disciplined together very often. Has she got other siblings?

Regarding her EWU "bio", I have to wonder if she also self-titled herself "quarterly professor". WTH?? More like "affiliate faculty" is a more accurate title-- professor titles are usually very tightly prescribed, and someone with only a masters degree could not hold that title or refer to themselves as "Professor" in most higher ed universities. The Masters prepared person above her in the list is titled as "lecturer", but then is referred to as "Professor" in her bio, too.

Her bio doesn't even include what classes she teaches! Did anyone other than RD proof read and approve that bio before it was posted?? What a disaster. That is truly an embarrassment to have up on a website, given what we now know about her intentional deception and misrepresentation.

The universities I'm familiar with are just much more protective of the title "professor"-- it is exclusively reserved for PhD's on the tenure track, associates, or adjuncts. A lowly contract faculty person would never be allowed to use the term "professor". And what she is/ was, is affiliate or contract faculty. Apparently she only ever taught 2 classes over 2 1/2 years in non-degree granting adult continuing education. That doesn't make her a professor of anything, IMO. That's community ed. It's not a bad thing, or something to hide or be ashamed of, but it's a far cry from being a "professor". Just more of her deception and exaggeration.

The stuff about wanting to pursue medical school and become a trauma surgeon? Lol-- really??? Does she know anything at all about higher education? Does she have any earthly idea how long, and how many hardcore classes in the sciences and math it would take someone with a masters of fine arts to be able to qualify for even attempting to be admitted to medical school as a non-traditional admission? That whole passage sounds like something a 7th grader would write in their yearbook or something. Talk about delusions of grandeur!

I don't much believe a word out of this woman's mouth. I think her entire life is one big lie, and one sham after another. I don't believe any of the "hate crimes" ever happened. I think she made it all up. She clearly qualifies to be diagnosed with a bunch of Axis II personality disorders. She deserves all the shame, embarrassment, and criticism she is receiving. She should lose her job at the NAACP, IMO.

So maybe she'll stop with the "blackface" bronzers and fake tanning and fake hair now? Nah. Probably not. She's pretty invested in this charade she's fabricated. I do bet she'll sue a bunch of people, though.

I actually believe she faked being black because being a civil rights advocate has become a very lucrative business for some. She probably has seen how well Sharpton and other AA leaders live and how wealthy they have become being a part of the NAACP.

It has to be heartbreaking for her parents knowing she lied about her race all of these years. I don't hold anything against the parents. They are the ones who told the truth no matter what the reason may have been, and she is the one who has lied. So the lie is all on her. I could certainly understand if they have a stressful or strained relationship with their daughter. To say the least she seems a little strange to carry this on for years knowing it was all a lie.

Yeah. I think something's up with her family. They said they only spoke when reporters came round' asking questions, but who tipped them off? She is embroiled in a custody battle with her parents. It is quite possible they caused this to erupt due to that and their anger that she has denied them.



You know I think the NAACP actually wants to get rid of her and fast. But they have to support hiring her or they would look stupid for hiring a liar.

I believe the organization quickly put out that statement to cover their tails but also while quietly pressuring her hard to resign due to dishonesty. I believe she will soon resign.

It looks like she did do good work for them though.



Reports indicate she did not lie about her race when applying to Hiward or while there. Her family states it was assumed she was black until she got there and then there was surprise. She has apparently reported she was ostracized for being white while at Howard. Her family members indicated it was in the last several years that she began to pretend she was black.

If there's any criminal activity it may be lying to the government to get the ombudsman job and fabricating crimes. But as you said, the false crime repeating may be hard to prove.

Kurt Neumaier has served as an alternate board member or former full member of the task force since 2001. He said he had suspicions about alleged hate crimes that Dolezal has reported to police in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, and said he was concerned that the decision of the task force and Human Rights Education Institute to hire her was done without proper vetting and checking into claims about her background. Neumaier said he approached board members recently, urging them to go public with these concerns because of Dolezal’s growing profile in Spokane, but that board members didn’t want to.

Tony Stewart, a co-founder of the task force and longtime civil-rights champion in Coeur d’Alene, said today he does not recall discussing Dolezal at any recent board meeting. Christie Wood, the current head of the task force and spokeswoman for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, also denied that Neumaier approached the board recently.

That's pretty damning.

While acknowledging that their parents were strict and sometimes used corporal punishment, Ezra denied Rachel’s claims that she and the other siblings were abused.

He also weighs in on the cancer and hate mail:

But now, Ezra said he doesn’t believe anything Rachel has said or done over the past few years, including her claims of being diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2006.
“I wasn’t in touch with her regularly during that time, but she didn’t mention anything about having cancer until very recently,” he said.

He also doesn’t buy her claims of receiving hate mail or being the target of racist attacks.
“She made herself into a martyr on purpose for people to feel sorry for her and to help her,” Ezra said.

An article in the Coeur D’Alene Press mentioned that Rachel would often refer to Izaiah as her “oldest son” on social media. In a recent phone interview with the CDA Press, Rachel confirmed that Izaiah was her brother. “He used to be my brother,” Rachel said, according to the article. “But I have full custody of him now.”

At present, Lawrence and Ruthanne Dolezal say they do not know where Izaiah is. “The last we heard he was either attending pre-law at the University of Idaho in Moscow, or through the branch campus in Spokane or in Coeur d’Alene,” Lawrence told the publication.

Wait, what? if he's cognitively intact enough to attend pre-law, why would anybody have full custody of him at the age 21?

Gitana, you are exactly correct with that interpretation-- she was suspected of orchestrating the hate crimes herself. Yes, that video is pretty enlightening. I'll embed it here for others.

At the 6 min mark the reporter begins asking her if SHE could be the one who put the letter in her keyed box. (Also love how she refers to herself as a professor of African studies-- just debunked by the university in their released statement.)

But almost no civil rights advocates enjoy "lucrative" positions. Sharpton is one man famous for his long history and early leadership positions and connections in the movement. Less than a handful live a rich life doing such work. But millions are engaged in civil rights advocacy.

I think she's simply an attention-seeking nut. An intelligent, fast talking con who wants to be perceived as a brave and tireless victim.

Hi OBE! I don't think so though. Nothing suggests she got bad grades or whatever from discriminatory professors, or that she was excluded from clubs or dorms.

However, it is possible she suffered from a lack of friends perhaps due to some racist attitudes there. I think if that occurred it more likely resulted from her odd personality and behavior.

Remember, that that was what SHE reported. That was either her perception or her on-going quest for attention as a victim.

I believe nothing she says.
