So...she's stepped down:

http://news.yahoo.com/rachel-dolezal-resigns-as-leader-from-naacp-spokane-chapter--160937684.html

Yet, she still manages to duck any type of personal responsibility:
“And yet, the dialogue has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity,” she wrote.

Yeah, lady....it had absolutely nothing to do with you being an habitual liar.

Ok then. The entire worldwide dialogue about race revolves around her, and has shifted as a result of her selfless desire to help to speed up the evolution of human consciousness about race. Wow.

Well, she is the only voice that an entire race has after all....

It appears RD overstepped her boundaries by trying to cancel the NAACP meeting tomorrow night. She is being called out by the Executive Committee Chair stating she does not have authority to cancel or postpone the meeting as it is a fixed date 3rd Monday of each month.

http://www.krem.com/story/news/loca...06/14/dolezal-cancels-naacp-meeting/71217040/

Here is another email related to same thing

Bumping this post for those who were unable to find the comment from a friend and former coworker of RD. At the bottom of the msm article click on the word petition. It's in small print so it is easy to miss. I had to read it a 3rd time very slowly to find the link for the peittion.

Only a few signatures appear per page. Scroll to go from the newest to oldest.

She has quite a lengthy history of speeding tickets in Idaho, along with a driving without privileges which she received unsupervised probation for a year. Furthermore, she has 3 default judgements totaling over $8K which resulted in garnishments.

Listen to this wonderful example of 'UNIVERSITY SPEAK'----it is a kind of gobbedly gook, IMO:

n a Facebook post, Dolezal said she was stepping down because the dialogue about race and injustice in the country "has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity."

"In the eye of this current storm, I can see that a separation of family and organizational outcomes is in the best interest of the NAACP,
" she wrote.

LOL, what does that even mean?????

Thank you for saying this. I was watching the 5 videos linked and I couldn't follow her train of thought or even understand what she was trying to say, except for a few succinct statements. If she interviews like this, how on earth did her students understand what she was saying in her lectures?

So shes' just a lawbreaker ? And I guess every time she gets pulled over she whips out her imaginary race card as to why she's being stopped ?

I predict her 13 y/o's father petitions for full custody of his son, citing undue harm to his child based upon the false allegations she has made and emotional harm she has caused him.

Sadly, Wasington state CPS does not typically intervene on kids 12 and up as they are able to make phone calls, run to friends houses or get themselves safe unlike younger children. There is no mechanism for WA CPS to intervene on "emotional abuse" as it doesn't raise to the standard of "imminent harm".

Dear Executive Committee and NAACP Members,

You people who told me to quit

It is a true honor to serve in the racial and social justice movement here in Spokane and across the nation.

I am a national hero.
Many issues face us now that drive at the theme of urgency.

I speak like this because I am a very important person. For those of you who are less glorified, this means "many urgent issues face us now".

Police brutality, biased curriculum in schools, economic disenfranchisement, health inequities, and a lack of pro-justice political representation are among the concerns at the forefront of the current administration of the Spokane NAACP.

I could have solved all that.

And yet, the dialogue has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity.

I'm puzzled that people think it's weird to lie about one's race, but the bright side is, I'm also an international celebrity now.

Who defines race and ethnicity.

I have waited in deference while others expressed their feelings, beliefs, confusions and even conclusions - absent the full story.

I'm too chicken to tell the truth but I manage to make it a virtue.
I am consistently committed to empowering marginalized voices and believe that many individuals have been heard in the last hours and days that would not otherwise have had a platform to weigh in on this important discussion.

Wow, some black people have been quoted in the press and it's all because of me. Dang I'm good.
Additionally, I have always deferred to the state and national NAACP leadership and offer my sincere gratitude for their unwavering support of my leadership through this unexpected firestorm.

I really thought that I wouldn't get caught.
While challenging the construct of race is at the core of evolving human consciousness, we can NOT afford to lose sight of the five Game Changers (Criminal Justice & Public Safety, Health & Healthcare, Education, Economic Sustainability, and Voting Rights & Political Representation) that affect millions, often with a life or death outcome.

I'm changing the topic to distract from my dishonesty.

The movement is larger than a moment in time or a single person's story, and I hope that everyone offers their robust support of the Journey for Justice campaign that the NAACP launches today!

I'm only saying this because I want you to forget about my current disgrace but I'm still the lone voice that the entire race has.
I am delighted that so many organizations and individuals have supported and collaborated with the Spokane NAACP under my leadership to grow this branch into one of the healthiest in the nation in 5 short months.

I'm the only one who ever did anything in Spokane NAACP.
In the eye of this current storm, I can see that a separation of family and organizational outcomes is in the best interest of the NAACP.

I'm always thinking altruistically.

It is with complete allegiance to the cause of racial and social justice and the NAACP that I step aside from the Presidency and pass the baton to my Vice President, Naima Quarles-Burnley.

If I sound pompous enough you will think that I did this voluntarily.

It is my hope that by securing a beautiful office for the organization in the heart of downtown, bringing the local branch into financial compliance, catalyzing committees to do strategic work in the five Game Changer issues, launching community forums, putting the membership on a fast climb, and helping many individuals find the legal, financial and practical support needed to fight race-based discrimination, I have positioned the Spokane NAACP to buttress this transition.

I am the best thing since sliced bread.

Please know I will never stop fighting for human rights and will do everything in my power to help and assist, whether it means stepping up or stepping down, because this is not about me.

Please stop talking about my disgrace.

It's about justice.
I can do a short sentence if I try.
This is not me quitting; this is a continuum.
I was fired but they let me write poems about it.

It's about moving the cause of human rights and the Black Liberation Movement along the continuum from Resistance to Chattel Slavery to Abolition to Defiance of Jim Crow to the building of Black Wall Street to the Civil Rights and Black Power Movement to the ?#?BlackLivesMatter? movement and into a future of self-determination and empowerment.

Did you get all that? It's all because of me.

With much love and a commitment to always fight for what is right and good in this world,

Rachel Dolezal

Whew, I got to the end without addressing any of my lies.

Good thing she's got that hair braiding gig to fall back on. It is going to be hard to pay the rent for next month.

Too bad she made international news, her name will go down in infamy as the Dolezal doozie!

I understood her (I speak academe), I was just astonished by what she was saying.

Asked the open -ended and very fuzzy question about what was "normal" for black women, Rachel launched into a long rift about appearances. That she felt she had to be perfectly groomed and dressed and spoken at all times in white society , because she was representing the whole black race, and that it was normal for black women to feel thAt way.

Digging herself in deeper, she said that it was different in the black community, that it was OK to go to the store in slippers to get buttermilk because fellow black folk understood that you was just tired or some such.

Racist much, on top of everything else that is wrong with all that?

I was watching "The Wendy Williams Show" this morning and she addressed this firestorm surrounding RD. She is fascinated by it and she stated that "black knows black" and that she could see how RD could pass for black if she presented herself that way. What WW could not understand was "why"?

If RD had pursued this career in AA studies and felt she could only be taken seriously if she were AA, that I can kinda understand. Where she did a huge disservice to the AA community IMO, was making all those false reports of hate crimes.

IMO, most of us go through a struggle of discovering who we really are and our true selves when we are teens and young adults. We evolve over time and hopefully find our own truth. It would be interesting to hear why she chose this path if she were to be truthful. However, IMO, I don't see her being truthful, which is a shame.

If she had chosen to advocate for the AA community as a white person, would she have been taken as seriously as if she were AA? I don't know. Is what she has done an insult to the AA community or harmed anyone besides herself? I don't know the answer to that either.

Her ex-husband knew she was white. When they married she still had straight long blond hair. If you are talking about the video, it was posted by some guy infatuated with her, not her ex-husband.

He was actually her fiancé. They were engaged for two months before she called it off.

My husband is second generation Irish. We did the DNA test last year to find out what disease he is genetically predisposed to and also his genetics. He was 99% Irish and 1% Sub Saharan African. I assumed that everyone has that in their DNA but when I got my results....no Sub Saharan listed! We had a good laugh about this as did his red headed freckled family!

Off topic question- does it only trace the mother's side? I thought only mitochondrial DNA could be traced.

This actually makes me think she may indeed have some black heritage. People often disguised black ancestry by stating they were Native American or whatever.

http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2015/jun/12/naacp-presidents-claims-about-background-disputed/

I am wondering if this is another technically true lie... I mean, about no mother terrorizing her own children. Supposing she manufactured the hate crimes, who's to say it means that she terrorized her own children?

If her kids are in on her racial deception, and I honestly can't see how they could avoid knowing, having known her and lived with her and interacted with her white family before she became black, they might be in on the hate crimes as well. There'd be no reason for them to be particularly scared of the KKK because mom sent herself some scary letters. Heck, one of the kids might have posted them (in some video interview Rachel said something about one letter being put in the mailbox and one being posted from Oakland and the person couldn't be in two places at the same time).

This is not meant to blame the children in anyway, I'm just noticing that the reason she gives is that she must be innocent because she wouldn't terrorize her own kids. But the reasoning presumes that they'd be terrorized, and it's not necessarily true if they know.

Yeah or her version of the white couple who entered the house to threaten and harass her son and the police reported that he wasn't scared at all and thought they had mistaken the address.

If her son was in on racial deception then I don't think he would've contradicted her narrative about the scary white racists breaking into her home.

I think ink she did terrorize her son with her tales about race crimes. Except he knew better and wasn't frightened regarding those he personally witnessed.
