This kid is only 17yrs old!!!! If he's ALREADY a child pedophile-predator at 17yrs - OMG he's so young and will be out roaming in no time.

I sure pray that LE or parents will get him some help before it gets too late. It might not be to late....

OR... he just might never get caught (again) and God knows what he will do to someone elses child.

No Lurker, you aren't. I thought the same thing. Wouldn't your children be considered "family"? I'm sure the mom didn't leave thinking anything as horrible as this would happen but when I went to family cookouts there were plenty of relatives that wanted to play with the kids are just watch them for me to enjoy myself. I'm sure this mom will have to live with a lot of guilt about this.

in no way am i saying the mom is bad but this should teach people who to leave your children with if nothing else does.

he looks young its true. he is 17. the fact he looks young is probably 1 reason the mom thought him no danger. my husband looked young for his age at 17 and still does in his 30's. the jerk still gets carded for beer and i dont..... sry little off topic there. my point is looks have no relation to if he is still a child. if he was a 17yr old foot ball player with a shaved head it would not make him more or less of a child than this boy. he looks young so he looks more innocent. he is just as evil as he would be if he looked 25. his looks fooled the mom into thinking he was safe. i pray they dont fool the courts the same way.

my second point... all moms should have their radar going nuts when a non realated male wants to watch your kids. it can be hard to get the kids father excited about watching them for a couple hours so why would a neighbor want to? men who have no kids but offer to babysit, join boyscouts, coach sports, or take your kids camping should set off a warning light for mothers.

Exactly! And quite a few or the relatives I'd see at a family cookout would be pretty mad if I didn't bring my son since that's one of the few times they'd see him. Not saying it's the Mom's fault at all but that part just struck me as kind of strange.

Number 2 especially! I know some will think I am crazy but no male babysitters for my children. And be darned careful which females you allow to babysit.

One article calls it a holiday cookout...nine hours is a long time.

((I just took him to a baby shower ((at a church)) cuz we/they don't get him and we don't see family often. He had fun with the other kids/aunts - he's only 4)))

So right Dena! He's 17yrs old and for nine hours... count them.... 9 hours with a 3yr old toddler and infant. ALONE.

Personally - it would be brutal on ME for 9 hours - and a 17yr old male without any children - hummmmmmm.

i think so too. i let my teenage brother babysit my kids - however, usually it is after they are in bed and we're just running to the store or whatever - because they are too rambuncious for him!

Not blaming the mother, but she should have been more selective of who she let watch her child. I hope that sick sick pervert gets everything he deserves in prison, I don't care how old he is!!!

Unfortunately, "pervert" has yet to be tattooed on the forheads of the people who are dangerous. Think of how many molestation cases are done by people everyone says "no, it couldn't have been him!"
