I don't necessarily think he would have been found by now - there's so much water around Seattle - and bridges and ferries.
The laptop not being in the apartment is what makes me think it's not suicide UNLESS the laptop was somehow tied to all this. I knew someone who committed suicide who really seemed to love life - and doted on his wife and children. When he was found dead, no one believed it could be suicide, but he had been cheating his clients and it was about to come out, and I guess he couldn't bear the shame. I can think of a couple of different scenarios where things might be on the computer he could get in trouble for. Not likely, but possible.
The computer is often referred to as his work computer. Did he have another one?
