Was July the most recent sighting of Johnathan?

June 23rd in Kirkland, WA he was spotted on 3 ring cameras (two of which the video is publicly available) over about 30 mins of time. Then, never seen again despite many potential "sightings" of which none were confirmed to be him.

I have a few questions if you don’t mind -

- the footage by the porta potty - does the family feel that could be him and not confirmed or do they not believe it to be him?

- are there any known connections to the Kirkland area? Teachers family therapists etc?

- has the family checked the psychiatric hospitals in the area?

- I don’t know if this was recommended but handing out bags of necessities to folks who are homeless and including his info can be helpful

- presumably he isn’t just outside but maybe make areas near cameras that have packs of his favorite goodies

I believe an immediate family member works in Kirkland, but the family did not think he would know that and/or know how to get there.

They definitely believe it was him. His mom identified this very specific move he does with his arms in that video that they consider one of his "signature moves." And as a mom of a 21yo ASD kiddo, I am sure I would know if this were my kid based on the movements. The full video is also 2-3 minutes long.

We haven't found any connections to Kirkland, except his sister lives there and teaches at the local high school. She's still livid that when they showed up there, no police came to search her house, etc. as you would imagine that would be protocol to rule her out.

We have continued to contact hospitals, homeless encampments, fire, police (trust me, many officers don't know about him even in these areas), etc. However, as time passes and with that huge reward, I feel confident he is not outside or in an institutional setting. It feels more and more likely he is with someone who since June 23rd is ensuring that he isn't seen - maybe they left the region at that point?

One of our volunteers is still very interested in homeless encampments and is again going to canvas the region handing out business cards.

Back in July, we did put outdoor signs and bags of things for him on the trail near where he was spotted, but I think consensus is that he is not going to be outside as he would have been spotted by someone by now.

Is there any LE advocating the family feels would be helpful?

The Kirkland police detective seems interested at least, but is still only able to look into leads in his area. However, he at least typically responds to emails and phone calls which SCSO never has. So when we get a lead in a northern city, it gets routed back to SCSO and "logged" by them which to me feels like lost information as I have total confidence they are not investigating those leads.

There have been no other confirmed sightings (outside of Kirkland), but we have LOTS of suspected sightings. Some of which there is a photo, or bus footage, etc. so we can rule it out - the others remain undetermined. The span all over Washington state. Here is a youtube video by one of our volunteers that at the end maps the confirmed sightings from June 23rd.

(1) The Jonathan Hoang TikTok account where we shared info about Jonathan, the case, and the lack of support from law enforcement was gaining a LOT of traction recently and then suddenly banned over the weekend without any specific reason. I hypothesize that likely SCSO (the LE with current jurisdiction may have been able to request our account be taken down, but I don't have any evidence to support that claim).
(2) The family (Jonathan's dad Thao and sister Irene) testified today related to a new Purple Alert bill for people with disabilities. In their testimony they reiterate the ways in which this case was mishandled. Thao is at 1:04 & Irene is at 1:24 Senate Law & Justice - TVW
