Searchers have failed to turn up any sign of a Lynnwood man reported missing after he walked away from a campsite at Baker Lake.

The search and rescue unit of the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office searched Friday and Saturday for Jose Gonzales Arroyo, 43. The search continued into Sunday and Monday and included both boats and aircraft.

He was reported missing from the Horseshoe Cove campground. He left late at night in the pouring rain.

He was last seen wearing a bright yellow and blue jacked, jean shorts and water shoes.

Left a campsite. In the middle of the night. In the pouring rain.
I have questions.

I know that when we camp, some of our family drinks heavily. He may have wandered off and fell in and drowned.
