Respectfully, it's a matter of public record and the seller of the property to buyer CD on 8/24/14 is not his dad or his estate.
Ok

I did a google search. It says that it can take 1 day to 3 days for a corpse to start smelling. If he kept it downstairs, it might have started to smell. If he kept it in his garage or the back of his truck, then it might have gone unnoticed. The timeline looks like it happened between 10 and 11:30 on the 25th and that he dropped her off around 6 the next day. She would just start to smell in a few hours if thats correct :(
Im curious where she was kept overnight. But what I wonder is if anyone in the house noticed the “spring cleaning” he had done and put two and two together that the cameras were shut off after police served a search warrant. You’d think someone in the house would be suspicious? Not sure. Also, and I absolutely hate bringing this up, but with blunt force trauma and stab wounds would one be able to smell blood? Sorry :(

I wonder about the xboyfriends current gf . Just disgusting he did that to her because she was pregnant . Jmoo
She is currently married to another man and still resides in the house Kassanndra was murdered in.

She was literally dumped right off of the side of the road or at least that's what it looks like.
I visited here to place flowers. This is on a fairly busy road so I’m quite surprised he managed what he did. There’s an incline off the side of the road that leads to a ledge where he must have rolled her down? I’m not sure. There’s a lot of trees but she was found quite far down

.
Totally. Putting two and two together at least by the time the search warrant was executed makes sense. The GF especially should have put it together, but whoever else lived there likely would too. If they didn’t speak up about the weird texts and suspicious behavior, they should be charged.

Now it’s clear the basement was finished and it looks likely that the basement was carpeted (it was in 2014). Did he rip up carpeting, clean it at the time of the spring cleaning? Did he do more cleaning or carpet ripping up in the days thereafter and before the warrant? Because the family was definitely pointing at baby daddy for days before that first search warrant was executed. Unclear to me if police called/ if he was interviewed before that first search warrant or not. But he definitely had time to continue cleanup/ projects. Good thing the FBI evidence recovery team was there.

also add my voice to hoping KC’s family can move on civil suit ASAP. Worry about CD doing something to protect the asset.
ETA- I think they can file for an injunction or something to keep him from transferring asset until civil suit is done but I am not a lawyer.

I think she was either kept downstairs in the basement, maybe hidden under items, in the back garage in garbage bags, or in the back of his truck underneath garbage and stuff he could move easily to move her. I would think that at the time it happened, it just sounds weird. Adding the swatting into it, yeah looks really bad. Then going off the arrest record of how they pieced everything together its basically air tight at that point. You would be able to smell blood if it wasn't cleaned up enough. Perhaps he put some cleaning chemicals on the body to hide the smell?

Ive gone down that road in the early mornings, once to take a friend to pierce college. It can be dead at that time. According to timeanddate.com, University Place (at least some area) was still under civil twilight at that time and didnt have daylight until about 6:21. It would just look like some 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 was tossing trash down the side of the hill there which happens occasionally. Enough to swear about, not enough to call the cops.

I was discussing this with some friends. One of them seems to think that even if CD transferred the house to someone else or a holding company somehow while he was in jail, the family could still seize the house as it was in his possession at the time of the incident. Though Im not sure how it would be recovered from who ever has it. I could see the truck being taken if thats not transfered.

Kassanndra and the live in gf have been going back and forth with CD for years. Kassanndra initially dated him over a decade ago and the now live in gf was the one CD cheated on Kassanndra with so Kassanndra dumped him. Also, I know CD called his boss at his work asking for sealant, whatever that is for.

Right! The sealant initially made me think the basement was unfinished concrete floors maybe, but the 2014 pics are beautifully finished. So how does the sealant fit in? Trying to cover his crimes. On floor or wall or sealing? Or was the sealant a lie altogether and just an attempt to back up why he ripped up carpet?? (Flooding, here’s proof. I asked my boss about sealant, that’s why I ripped it up)

Those pics are 6 years old and it looked like it was a flip so they probably installed cheap carpet down there. These old homes around Tacoma are notorious for flooding their basements during the winter with all the rain we get. It is totally possible he had ripped up the flooring and replaced it with something else years ago.

What puzzles me is why did Colin take out a $100,000 loan against his house in 2018 and what did he spent it on? As far as I can tell, he paid cash for the house in 2014 and had no other mortgages.

Interesting question. I got the sense that CD and brother split equity from dad’s estate and that’s how his brother got his house and CD got his house. If you found loan data maybe you can post full accounting?? My gut instinct is it sounds like he was living off the home equity (not hard to get a home equity loan). I have seen very little data on CD but the fact that he had this big windfall to get a house, made generous gifts, but still needed roommates to support him until middle age says a lot about the mismanagement of his inheritance.

I believe there's a deed of trust on the property-- meaning it has a mortgage and CD does not own free and clear. The lender would have first position and the property more likely to be in default/foreclosure before KC's family could receive a judgement. MOO

Huh? Wasn't it reported that CD was a chef and employed by the same catering company for several years. I recall he sent a text to his "boss" so we know he had a job.

He was a chef. I'm not sure what he did for work recently, but he had a job.

It is a catering business and I think because if Covid they have not been doing much business. I’m wondering if this is the same place of business that he disposed his gloves of at in the work trash can? He was a manager at the catering business and would have had access to the trash can, which was behind a barbed wire fence so he had to have had a key to get in.

I am not too sure if he was doing side jobs because of covid but i know he had money because he was as of recently giving Kassanndra money ($500) as a gift and jewelry. I found this information on a YouTube that featured Kassanndras brother as an interviewee. So CD must have had money somewhere somehow?
PS the interview was with Tricia on Websleuths.

I do think CD maybe did a construction project. Not sure what it was. If you want to sleuth, check out gig harbor contractor. Would be interesting if they did a man cave in the basement. I saw a pic of one on the site but haven’t had time to compare it. and the very bottom of the web page has an interesting review.

Yeah I got the sense though that the gifts were a longer time ago but I may be wrong. I know he had a job but he still might have been house poor. It would explain having a roommate and qualifying for a public defender so quickly. But anyway I do think they maybe did a project after all.

I did notice a review from the GF on the contractor site but it seems she deleted it from FB (where it originally was). The city permits show Colin had a side sewer repair done in 2018 but I don't see any other permits.
