GUILTY WA - Kassanndra Cantrell, 33, pregnant, found deceased, Parkland, 25 Aug 2020 *Arrest* #2

Is it a fact that she applied for public assistance? That can be a trigger for some men as it was in the Karissa Fretwell case. Baby Daddy killed her and her son and dumped them in the woods. This after a court told him he had to pay $900 per month because Karrissa had applied for government assistance for I think a student loan. Moo.

Well, from what I understand, CD was not a well-off guy, but he became better than others by getting an inheritance. So I think he probably factored it in. Also, in all such cases, there could be an issue of his heirs in someone’s mind. Today he doesn’t want a child, tomorrow he might come to like playing with the baby, who knows? Or, a grown up biological son, or daughter, could claim part of his property. Some people might have been bothered by it.

Oh... I'm not going to say a whole lot, because I don't know if she doesn't have any other option. But man, I could never.

Because you feel sorry for KC. Given the long history between them all, I can’t imagine how CD’s GF feels, though.

I do. But, generally speaking, I don't think I would be able to live in a house where someone got murdered, even less if I knew the murderer in such a intimate way. Things are not black and white though, and I don't really know anything about her situation, maybe she doesn't have any other option.
I've said this in previous posts too, if she wasn't involved and, right now, it doesn't really look like she was involved in any way, I do feel terrible for her too.

Well, if she plays her cards right, she could get a quickie marriage, live in the house and enjoy some of his inheritance without much worry of him coming home anytime soon. If he bails out she would have enough $$$ to step out until his trial, which should be extremely quick. Of course he might just strike a plea deal.

I hope KC's family files a lawsuit against CD's estate and drain his accounts dry and is forced to sell his house.

I don’t think it’s fact that she asked for assistance for the baby but her mother mentioned many times that she had not taken her EBT card with her that last day. Those cards are part of assistance.
Yes, but EBT cards are. just based on if you are single/single parent and broke. I got WIC & food stamps for the three months I was not working 8 months pregnant until daughter was 2 months). The only time they felt the dad's info was needed was much later when I applied for Child Care assistance to help while in school and getting my Masters. I actually didn't even want him named, but I had to prove paternity to get the childcare assistance. He wasn't on the birth certificate until after I had to put him on it (there was no discussion about this with him). There are reasons I did not want him linked, drama and overall difficulty getting passports etc etc. It turned out ok, as I later filed for full legal custody.

To have a baby by someone not interested is extremely scary, pile on top being unemployed and on food stamps...she must have been at least somewhat terrified. From my personal experience, doctors do ask about your home situation etc to ensure the baby is safe and that you have access to adequate nutrition during your pregnancy etc (they will enroll you in WIC here in CO). This is especially true if you are on Medicaid, which I am guessing as she was had no employment. Maybe she told the doctor he was supportive because she wanted to believe that herself, and hoped that maybe once the baby arrived things would change. MOO

As long as he loses everything. I don't have any animus against his gf as I imagine every woman in his life was a victim or future victim. If she gets a piece, I don't begrudge her.

True. A guy like CD definitely has a history of victims. Reading what he said about his GF is not the way he treated her! Empty words, that's all they were.

She’s still married to another man. Not CD.

Are you saying the GF is married to another man (or never got a divorce from a previous spouse)?

Also, somewhere on this thread I thought I read CD bought the house with the GF. I don't see evidence of that in the tax records. Perhaps they had a separate agreement. The house looks to be in just his name.

Yes she is still married. Also, I believe CD inherited the house after his fathers death in 2014 and whitepages only just recently reflected her name as living in the house.

At work? Different schedules?

His dad didn't just leave the property, so much as he passed away. Which someone said that KC was one of the few people CD could talk to about his dads passing. I went to school with his brother and even went by that house once. That would give him some familiarization with the area.

I think the house that was conveyed to CD and his brother after the fathers passing is the house in University Place. see previous post.

From the Assessor's link, CD purchased the homes 8/2014 as an unmarried person. We know they've referred to the is gf as his wife in MSM so it's possible the deed was never updated/recorded. That's not unusual -- especially if CD already had a good mortgage rate. IMO, most couples don't update the public record until they refinance the mortgage and both names are on the mortgage.

I can't remember the details but it seems to me that GF has only been associated two addresses -- Lacey, WA or CD's past two Tacoma address. I'm not convinced there's reason to believe she's married to somebody else. Also, if neighbors tell you they moved in together then they probably did -- they are better witnesses to what's happening in their neighborhood then we are! MOO

It's actually a cute old house -- too bad we've seen such bad photos in MSM. The basement is finished in the realty photos.

3502 S K St, Tacoma, WA 98418 - 3 beds/1.75 baths

ETA: CD easily doubled his money if he sold today... I hope KC's parents file a wrongful death suit - NOW.

Look up Pierce County Public Records on Linx. Should be convincing enough.

Yes his brother has a house in UP that was passed to him and CD received the house in Tacoma.

Respectfully, it's a matter of public record and the seller of the property to buyer CD on 8/24/14 is not his dad or his estate.
