I wish the reporter had not asked her if she thought her daughter was deceased.......not the time imo.

I feel like this mother is very close to her daughter... and she knows her... but it’s also strange that she didn’t know who the baby’s father was or that it seemed to be a secret. I wonder how long they were together or how long the ex has been with his current woman? MOO all eyes on the baby’s father and his Gf. And thus baby wasn’t conceived THAT long ago....

I’m not suggesting that any of her family members are involved whatsoever, however, why would a G** account be set up for $30,000? It just seems odd to me. I sincerely hope people are not seeking to profit from this situation. JMO.

Her twin brother had the crazy idea that if they could raise money to offer as a reward leading to the arrest/conviction of anyone having anything to do with Kassanndra's disappearance they might get results. He was told not to, but some people believe money talks.

Mom may have found out from KC's friend right after they found out she was missing. I know from reading (I can't recall which interview now) that KC didn't tell her because she knew her mom didn't like him one bit. I always say go with your gut - there must have been a reason Mom felt the way she did!

Thank you. I don't know where I got the impression that the mom didn't know who the father was right away?

This part was interesting:

Smith said her daughter was about three months pregnant. The father is a friend, and though unexpected, for Cantrell it was the most welcomed surprise.

“When she found out she was thrilled because she wasn’t sure that she'd have a chance to have a baby and so she was really excited, she already picked out names," said Smith.

Definitely suggests that the baby's father was not a boyfriend or a relationship....and plays to motive MOO.

Any information on how the car was found? Locked, unlocked? Personal items left behind?

The circumstances are unusual thus far (According to LE.) So not suspicious, or a reason to believe foul play.

If I happened to do something to someone unplanned and had a car to dispose of, I too would bring it somewhere to a place which everybody thinks of as sketchy or dangerous and where I think there aren’t any cameras around. But then again, I would have to make sure I didn’t left any fingerprints and dna laying around and would have to make sure the seat position, mirror position stays the same too. Or I could ask the person to meet me at a sketchy place if I plan to do something to somebody. That way that person would be seen driving there themselves in case there are cameras on the way and my dna wouldn’t be found in the car either. And even if there was electronic trail of our meeting I could claim like many idiots before me: Yes, I saw them, we talked and we parted ways after that.
If I would do this I would be caught like all the other idiots, so I have hope this will be solved.

Since her mom said it seems like she was going to meet someone, I am having a hard time believing whoever that person was isn't involved or doesn't at least know something. I'm sure we can all speculate who she might have been going to meet.

The other option I guess would be she meets this person, everything is fine, goes grocery shopping after and is abducted from the grocery parking lot. But...I am finding that a lot harder to believe. I guess they could have ambushed her and pushed her into her own car and then driven off with her just to dump the car later but....I am having a harder time believing in this theory. MOO

I don't think she made it that far. I think she got dressed up nice, and went to meet up with the father of her child---after that, I have no idea....

I wonder if she typically got ready to see the father? It was called as unusual for her to be up that early, getting ready to leave. I feel as though what’s the point to getting ready especially if they were civil and self proclaimed friends.

I’m not sure how many others are apart of the Tacoma fb group, but another woman has gone missing ( along with her car). This person was last seen August 27th.

Yes this feels very reminiscent of Kierra Coles, father of the baby having high stakes elsewhere and a need to “silence” in order evade a marital break up and extra financial burden. Barf. MoO

she definitely was not harmed in order to take her baby as it seems clear she was not far along in the pregnancy at all.

It would be a long walk, especially for a pregnant woman. Google maps says about 8 miles, or about 2.5 hours plus. I think it was her brother stating there was a phone ping that led to the search at the park.

They're searching at Point Defiance because thats where her phone last pinged.

There's no way she walked from the Tacoma Dome to Point Defiance. Zero chance. They're on opposite sides of town, and the easiest route has parts where you cannot walk safely (no sidewalks).

My thought is that somebody abandoned her car at the transit center because it would be removed fairly quickly if no one came back for it. And that same person may have chucked her phone in the woods of Pt. Defiance or into the water at Owen Beach (inside the park). Someone went through a lot of effort to confuse the police and searchers.
