I may have missed something. Is there a video of him driving her car that morning or are you saying "IF" he is on video driving her car?
If there was already video of him driving her car that morning, I think he would have been arrested.

Oh yes, right. The toys could have been a neighbor's, or a visitor's, or gf's relative's.
I think it's been said they have room-mates?

If she had driven to his house to meet with him, he possibly used her car to move her before dumping it 1.2 mi from his house. If this is what happened, it's possible they found something in her car, like blood smearing in the trunk? Giving them the search warrant wherein they found copious amounts of blood evidence in the home? I think anything less would not warrant the FBI?
I'm expecting an arrest very soon, moo.
It would be weird for her to meet at his house though, since he lived with his girlfriend. It seems very shady to do that. I'd think they'd meet at a park or someplace neutral, but IDK.

you make an interesting point, if they did plan to meet at the house, maybe because the gf was working or she had plans im sure it would not have went well if the gf came home early and found them together

Unless....it wasn’t a planned meeting and she went there to confront him in front of the gf...

Maybe the gf was out of town when they met

Such a sad case, but a few things I haven't seen discussed before, and which might potentially be important arent clear to me:

-Why did Kassanndra as being an 33 yo live with her mom and step dad? Just because they all wanted too or did she recently lose her job/house or something?
-The pregnancy hasn't been confirmed by any medical professional right? Can this (potentially fake) pregnancy have been used to get someone to be together with her? Like blackmail or a desperate action to get someone to fall in love with her?
-Why the does the possibility of twins keep being mentioned if she didn't have any ultrasounds before? What makes her think it might be twins? I don't think there has been IVF procedure or anything related which increases the chances of having multiples.
-Is the house being searched the potential baby daddies, or does an ex boyfriend from longer ago live there?[/QUOT

Again, Tacoma housing market is #1 in the U.S. not too odd considering Tacoma use to be about 500 for a 1 bd 15 years ago and now more like 1500. Living at home is the new normal.

Detective Troyer referred to the POI who lives in the house as "her ex-boyfriend"? You may have missed the press conference, I'll bump the post for you.

No. I saw it. But it seemed to me like he backpedaled a little bit when it came to talking about a person of interest. It was just my impression.

Family say Kassandra Cantrell was 3 months pregnant when she disappeared. She missed her ultrasound appointment last week. #KomoNews

I did note in the pressor today, Troyer said they are in the process of verifying KC is pregnant, he mentioned something about his team getting her records today. Just a formality, as I'm sure she is.

I'm still having difficulty understanding how the POI did not think all of this was going to point directly back to him o_O
I guess it could have been a heat of passion thing, where maybe things just got out of control? Because if it was planned, it was a pretty poor one.
It is possible that the meeting got very heated.
If he said anything like 'you have to end the pregnancy' or that's not my baby, you ho---something along those lines, she may have threatened to tell his gf or sue him for child support, or something .

So it could have been an impulsive decision on his part, and then he had to scramble to deal with the situation?

One thing, the housing market in Western WA is very expensive. Very. So even people having good jobs have to resort to living with parents. For to the person who lost a job, or has a low-paid job, it might be the only option available.

I agree with what you are thinking here. Perhaps she gave him some sort of ultimatum. Maybe she tried to force him to accept this pregnancy and used it to get him to be with her instead of the "other" woman. Or to get some money from him in the way of support.
Whatever, I do also believe (if he is responsible) that it was spur of the moment/ act of rage. JMO

Since she tried to look her best, I think she expected something positive from the meeting, some kind of proposal from him? At least to be the father. We don’t know what happened before, he could have not known about the pregnancy, or maybe was pushing her to get rid of it. Obviously, 1) she was not afraid of him, and 2) what he heard was unpleasantly unexpected for him.

For those that live in the area - are there any hotels within her route from home to Point Defiance? Just a thought - If they've been hooking up, it certainly wouldn't be at either house.

* never mind, I didn't think it through - they wouldn't have made those sorts of plans for Tuesday without KC letting her mom know she was going to be gone overnight.

If not directly on her route, there are hotels not to far off of it. Theres hotels a few miles from where her car was found as well.

I understand what you're saying.

The POI may have had some "help" dealing with the aftermath of the suspected meet-up, JMO. Maybe that's what you sensed from the pressor.

Welcome all newbies

since she was already seeing him on the down low, maybe she knew the schedule of the household and confronted him at a time that she perceived was a good one, and maybe she was very wrong. or maybe he had suggested it days earlier for a specific time when he absolutely knew they could be alone at the home.

so I JUST started following cases live, is it normal not strongly suggest but not name the POI? I have no idea what the protocol is, so as a newbie it felt like tear gassing the house, and executing a couple search warrants should be enough to release a name, but i 100% i could be way off, please share your sage wisdom
