I would assume "B", a printout of the UA, like when you take get a printout from your labs.
Edit posted to soon. I've never seen a doctor's office give a "stick" test, they just give you a cup.
Perhaps a free clinic uses a stick. Sounds very inexpensive to me. Albeit I have no idea and just speculating.

Thanks! That’s new information to me about the girlfriend cooperating. I hadn’t seen any other media reports mentioning whether or not she was talking. Glad to hear that. Only question for me is the source. Anyone familiar with knewz reliability as a news source?
It seems to mainly compile the reporting of other news outlets. Wondering if one of the linked outlets had the girlfriend tidbit or if this was original reporting from knewz?

They're not MSM and as far as I know, not an approved news source for WS.

Mom's neighbor's ring camera has KC leaving around 8:30 AM. I don't believe she was headed to the grocer. The house that was searched under warrant can't be more than 6 miles from Parkland, WA. Seems to me KC needed to meet somebody by 9 AM. Do we have an exact time that her phone stopped pinging?

The important issue would be: did she have a clinic test, where they put the results in their records? Or is the only evidence of her pregnancy that she said she was pregnant?

Yes, it goes in the records. It goes in the lab results "book" and there is also a paper record that states the results of the test, and if positive the first day of the patients last menstrual period to establish her due date. You can then take a copy they give you from the clinic to the state DSHS office to get medical insurance.

I think the ex does have a very small, negligible, non-violent, ticket-related criminal history, but I'm not allowed to offer links until he is named by media?

Deputies searching for pregnant Pierce County woman who disappeared under suspicious circumstances

Aug 30, 2020

Smith said her daughter was about three months pregnant. The father is a friend, and though unexpected, for Cantrell it was the most welcomed surprise.

ETA: Today's report cites man who's house searched was KC's boyfriend when she was a teen! She's 33 now yet suspect being reported as ex-boyfriend. I'd say more like friends with benefits. I think the story was misrepresented and he may have been in a longterm relationship today. MOO

Yes, there is a long story there @Seattle1. I hope LE names the ex-boyfriend soon so people can come forward with what they know publicly. I feel like witnesses might recall things or come forward if they can see a photo of his face and make that connection.

We humans are visual creatures--and our memories are often activated by images. I imagine the photo of a POI leads to more tips.MOO

"Her mother says Cantrell’s cell phone last pinged off the south Vashon Island tower just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 before it was either turned off or died. Police told her the most logical location of the phone based off of the ping would be Point Defiance Park."

Investigators suspect foul play in search for missing Parkland woman

So, four and a half hours after leaving home, her phone pings at Point Defiance. Would like to know if her phone connected with wifi during that time.

Pregnant Wash. Woman Who Vanished Before Sonogram Is Still Missing, as Police Search Ex's Home

During a press briefing Tuesday, investigators in Washington state characterized the Aug. 25 disappearance of Kassanndra Cantrell as "suspicious," noting the FBI has joined to assist in what is now being handled as a homicide investigation.

Pierce County Sheriff's Department Detective Ed Troyer told reporters that detectives are working around the clock to find the pregnant 33-year-old woman, who was reported missing by relatives on Aug. 27, a day after missing an appointment for her first sonogram.

Relatives claim Cantrell's social media activity ceased on Aug. 25, which is uncharacteristic.

[..]

He said a Pierce County Sheriff's Department SWAT team served a warrant at the home of Cantrell's ex-boyfriend Monday evening. He said authorities have a suspect in mind, but it was unclear if the ex-boyfriend was a suspect.

"If she is still alive we want to find her," Troyer explained. "Unfortunately, we haven't found her and that's why we're working this as a homicide until something tells us differently, and I hope that day comes but as you can see by the amount of work going on here, the probability of that coming to light isn't strong."
Thank you for keeping her media thread updated !

Thanks for confirming. I was a bit confused by the last ping and the missing person report date.

It doesn't sound like KC had time for breakfast before leaving, and 8:30-9AM is too early for lunch. There's a good American, neighborhood tavern (breakfast, lunch, dinner) near Point Defiance Park that would be a good place to meet somebody to talk. (3201 N 26th St).

Rule #1 don't meet an ex-lover with a GF in a secluded location in before noon!

Heart broken for KC's mother.. her twin, so sad.

Investigators suspect foul play in search for missing Parkland woman

Tues, Sept 1, 2020

Investigators were seen entering and exiting the home of an ex-boyfriend of Cantrell as they searched the residence for clues.

[..]

Troyer said the person of interest is someone "that they want to eliminate and clear or name him as a suspect" but he did not elaborate on that information.

[..]

Troyer said a SWAT team arrived at the home in the 3500 block of South "K" Street at around 6 p.m. Monday and served a search warrant. A man who lived at the house was home and allowed to leave. Troyer said people who knew the woman have been cooperating with detectives.

[..]

Cantrell went missing on the morning of Aug. 25 after she left her family's house in Parkland. Her mother, Marie Smith, says Cantrell had a doctor’s appointment for her first ultrasound on Wednesday and also planned to go grocery shopping, but she didn’t have any money on her and her EBT card has not been used.

[..]

Troyer said however that investigators have not confirmed that the woman was pregnant although they have been told that was the case.

Her mother says Cantrell’s cell phone last pinged off the south Vashon Island tower just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 before it was either turned off or died. Police told her the most logical location of the phone based off of the ping would be Point Defiance Park.

It takes 15 min or less from parkland to the location of the ex’s house. That time would include lights if she took pac ave, or Hosmer. I5 would probably take the same amount or shorter. Ring image was at 8:44am. Can’t get too far if she’s meeting someone around 9. Makes the most sense.

It was missing from her home? Does that mean someone else was in the home and took it? Or, maybe KC took it with her to surprise him? Is that what you're thinking? Or maybe he didn't believe her and wanted proof?
Maybe she took it with her, just in case he questioned if it was true. Or maybe he already said to her previously, that he didn't believe it?

What if he said let's meet in the morning and you can show me the pregnancy test?

Sounds like people who know Kassanndra are cooperating, not the GF

I have seen clinics use a stick test. They put the stick in the cup of urine. When I got pregnant with my child a few years ago, the OB Office asked ifi took a test, asked what brand and said “ok we’ll schedule you for 11 weeks for an appointment.” I asked if I needed to come in to confirm and they said “no, the tests are accurate “. In my case because I had several miscarriages and was older, I called my fertility doctor that I hadn’t seen for several years, explained that surprise I was pregnant and asked if he could get me a referral earlier than 11 weeks, even at a different OB. He had me come in and did an ultrasound at 6 weeks. He was shocked I got pregnant. I asked him about the test and he said usually it’s a waste to take it again. They will confirm at 11 week appointment with blood tests. He also called the OB and got me in right away for some of the blood tests.

On a personal experience, most ob-gyn clinics and doctors use pee in a cup test and with which they confirmed my pregnancy and I was 16 weeks along.

They have you pee in a cup but use a stick test. They don’t send it out for labs.
