Good points.

I'm guessing maybe where the phone had its final ping and they are searching within a radius of that ping.
Meanwhile the battery may have died.

Rescued! http://komonews.com/news/local/rescuers-make-contact-with-hiker-missing-on-mount-teneriffe

Rescue crews were able to finally make cell phone contact with Kimberly Haines after she had been missing for four days. Officials were able to pinpoint her position off her cell signal and a search helicopter brought her off the mountain a short time later.

She is apparently suffering from a head injury but sat up in an ambulance to greet family and friends after she was flown to a North Bend park.

Haines' dog was safely rescued as well and was being taken to a local veterinarian to be checked out, but appeared OK.

This is the greatest news! How often do we get GOOD news here?! Really happy and relieved for her, her family, and her sweet dog!

I've been out all day and what wonderful news to find when I logged on. Don't even know her, yet I feel such a huge weight off my shoulders!

Awesome. This is hard stuff. To translate a cell ping to actual map coordinates is not easy. Im so glad she has been found.
