Prosecutor says man admits to strangling girl

They found half of her cell phone, her back pack and her bike.

She was strangled during the commission of a rape.

If he gets the death penalty, (i'm doubting that because of his age,) appeals will go on and on until people forget, then susan sarandon will come to his rescue, along with barry sheck, and take this 🤬🤬🤬 home with her. Okay, only part is true.

Put him on an island with the rest of the sex offenders and child killers and let them fend for themselves.

Court appearance for suspect in Puyallup slaying

The 18-year-old man who led Pierce County sheriff's detectives to the body of a missing 16-year-old girl was headed to court Tuesday in Tacoma.

The News Tribune reports prosecutors planned to charge him with aggravated murder. Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said Kimmie Daily was killed during a rape.

With his name being out there now you can do some sleuthing and he states on facebook he has a girlfriend, she is only 14 years old, maybe more charges coming his way...

He is the reason I don't want to let my daughter out of the house. He is the boogy man.

I feel sick to my stomach that someone has such little value of the lives of others for their own sick self gratification.

Kimmie, you are a sweet angel now....fly free pretty girl....my mom will take care of you in Heaven, I'm sure she already is, I bet she was waiting for you with open arms to care for you... You are safe now little one.

Tyler W. Savage, 18, could face the death penalty if convicted in the death of 16-year-old Kimmie Daily.

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said Savage, who was an acquaintance of the Kimmie, lured the girl to an isolated area near her home and strangled her to death when she tried to leave.

The teen also admitted to having sexual contact with Kimmie, Lindquist said.

According to prosecutors, Savage told investigators that that he dumped Kimmie's naked body in a thicket of blackberry bushes about 12 blocks from her house and thew her bicycle on top of her.

By 4 p.m. the day of the murder Savage was at a friend's house playing video games, Lindquist said.

"The rape and murder of Kimberly Daily, an innocent child and Special Olympian, is a horrible crime," Lindquist said in a written statement. "This is a tragic loss for Kimberly's family, her neighborhood, and the entire community."

Savage is currently being held in the Pierce County Jail. Investigators told the News Tribune that the teen was going to be a senior at Emerald Ridge High School.

Kimmie's family and friends plan to hold a vigil tonight at Zieger Elementary at 8 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

I'm glad I don't live up there. Otherwise, I might have ended up in jail myself over this one.

"thew her bicycle on top of her."

IMO this shows clear lack of remorse and will go along way with considering the death penalty.

It has not been determined if the prosecutor will seek the death penalty, but it is a possibility.

Lindquist said Tyler Savage confessed to strangling Daily to death in the course of raping her.

According to court documents, Savage said he convinced Daily to cross the street, which she didn't want to do, prior to leading her to an isolated area. He admitted that he strangled the girl when she tried to leave.

Lindquist said she had been killed before her father reported her missing.

Detectives said Savage told them he was home playing video games after the murder around 4 p.m. last Tuesday.

Daily’s father reported her missing at 5 that afternoon.

As I believe I said yesterday...this will destroy Kimmie's family...but it is also going to hurt those who love the killer as well.

Savage, who has no prior criminal history, is expected to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today in Pierce County Superior Court. A woman at his home declined to comment late Tuesday morning.

"You are not getting nothing,"
she told a News Tribune reporter. "You just need to go."

A neighbor of Savage's was near tears about his arrest.

"He's like a family member," said Jenny Berto, 35. "I accepted him into my home."

"This is throwing me for a loop. This is so unexpected."

Berto said Savage was known throughout the neighborhood. He enjoyed playing video games and took Berto's son to the South Hill Mall and out for pizza.

"He's so sweet, upbeat, funny,"
Berto said. "I trust him wholeheartedly."

:furious::furious::furious::furious:

He referred to her as "it".

:furious::furious::furious::furious:

Her poor family. How can someone ever draw breath without agony after such a thing?

Only that FIRST page was there when I put that link up.

At least he's only referring to her as it AFTER she is dead. A body is different....and I can understand the detachment of the body from Kimberly.

If we find out he says that he convinced "it" to cross the street...then I will have an issue.

That was very difficult to read. My prayers to Kimmie's family.

There is a mugshot on this article.

I so hope that the order in which the crimes were committed is correct in this article.

Investigators contend Tyler W. Savage killed and then sexually assaulted Kimberly "Kimmie" Daily before her family reported her missing on Aug. 17, Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said. The charge of aggravated first-degree murder carries a possible death sentence, though a decision on whether to seek it against Savage has not been made.

Savage, who has no prior criminal history, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment this afternoon. Commissioner Patrick Oishi ordered Savage held without bail in Pierce County Jail.

If this 'thing' doesn't get the death penalty, I hope
that he is picking the soap up for the rest of his
life.

I am much more fond of this picture.

Frightening....yes.

But the fact that he needs a bullet proof vest... that people are angry enough... that reassures me about the attitude of society about people with disabilities. That Kimmie is just as important as any other child.

Yes, I like that one. I didn't realize that he had a bullet proof vest on. In the photo i posted, it looks like he's wearing one of those sweater twinsets.

He doesn't look scared, either. I see no remorse at all.
