okay, good... I see there is an access the the area I feel most strongly about, but one would go through a residential area, not through the resevoir's area itself. It's up north of the wooded area, off a dead end street. Sunridge Way? there is a cleared area in there... just keeps drawing me there over and over. Might be SOMETHING there.

I will make a note of that and get it to the dad.

Thank you, dear. I don't want to send people off on wild goose chases, but after what happened last night, this just seemed right. My friend even had the wrong location on a map while I gave her what I got, so didn't get it off of her. <lol> I should have assumed it would be closer to Bonney Lake, as she was there, but I was DRAGGED to this very location, quite specifically, and sensed I knew the area a little bit. When I finally did see the correct map, I was floored, as I HAVE been there a couple of years ago.
Oddly, I had her possibly farther WEST of her home, not quite to the 7-11 there? She was stopped by a man in a car. Possibly lied to and offered a ride? Things went really weird after that, concerning me deeply. Told my friend this had to go 'investigation' SOON, and I see it did today. :-(

A friend who lives fairly close and works in that area brought this to me last night to see what I could get. Seems I pegged enough to warrant her linking me to the news report and I am a bit stunned. A map also confirmed what I got in there being a wooded area, with water very close, and directly east of the street she was last seen on. The cell phone ping location prompts me to post here and ask if there is ANYONE nearby that can contact the father or LE and see if they can search the area around the McMillin Resevoir, especially the woods directly east of there. I also got you can 'see the valley' if you walk a short distance. Topo maps seem to confirm this. I really feel strongly about this area!

I could maybe help someone narrow down this 'place' I got, if wanted.

I just did a google map and was amazed at how close that reservoir is to her home. Good job on your part for noticing. I lived on South Hill for a number of years and did not know (or maybe I've forgotten) that reservoir was even there.
There are many areas, even close to Meridian, the main street, that are heavily treed and with lots of dense brush. I was noticing this on Friday when I was out that way and before I had heard about Kimmie. I remember thinking to myself that it might not be safe walking alone near the woods.
I am praying for Kimmie's safe return home.

Actually, I had that "lake" before even my friend had the right map. She was over in Edgewood by mistake on her map (we were online at the time), so my descriptions confused her, but I was "led" to the area around Sumner and Orting. Then dragged up the hillside to that reservoir. I had like a "large lake," not standing water that was stagnant, water that might 'move', but the "lake" struck me as a bit strange. It was more like a marker, however, as I constantly got a secluded wooded area, with a bit of a clearing. Finally, my friend got the correct map, reentering the address and sent me the google map link. It sure is near the girl's address! And I got everything very "local." Really local.

BTW, when I got all of this, I did NOT have any maps up, the news article, nothing. I was simply asked for what I got on a "close missing person" and away it went. It wasn't until later I brought up her link to the location.

Dogs will be searching and people will be knocking on doors again today in the investigation into the disappearance of a Puyallup teen.

There has been no sign of Kimberly &#8220;Kimmie&#8221; Daily, 16, since she was last seen Tuesday, Pierce County Sheriff&#8217;s Sgt. Mike Blair said Saturday.

I just wrote to KOMO news asking for them to give this young lady more coverage. Cognitively she is younger than Lindsey Baum, but Lindsey made top headlines and Kimmie is just on the side stories. Shouldn't a recently missing child be just as a priority as finding Lindsey?

If you go to one of the map search engines (google or mapquest for example) and enter Kimmie's address: 12702 106th Ave. Ct. E. Puyallup, WA for the starting point and McMillin Reservoir for the destination you will see how close they are (about 1.6 miles).

I hope it's ok to use her entire address, I did find it in another article on the web, but don't have time to look for the link right now.

Search resumes today for Puyallup teen

Dogs will be searching and people will be knocking on doors again today in the investigation into the disappearance of a Puyallup teen.

Teams of dogs and search-and-rescue crews were out Saturday checking “hot spots, places where she would normally hang out,” Blair said. They found no clues .

They planned to continue running scent-tracking dogs and knocking on doors today , he said.

There has been no sign of foul play and no substantive tips, Blair told The News Tribune on Friday.

Kimmie wasn't even gone 5 full days when they put the search "on hold."

Now it has been 5 full days since she was reported missing.

From what I remember the first time I heard any comment like that in Lindsey's case...was day 10. The "We've looked and looked and looked and haven't found anything..."

They were still searching on day 14.

Just wondering, exactly what is the difference between an 11 year old (Lindsey was days from her birthday...) and a 16 year old with the cognitive ability of a 9 year old.

The streets here are very weird - there are multiple streets by the same name, but the numbers are different - my street is in 8000 series, then less than a mile away there is a street by the exact same name, different neighborhood and the houses are in the 9000. Some searches do pull it up as 6 or so miles - but that is from a 3000-3500 block. The exact address isn't given in the news (from what I can see), but I think this map would be where her home is in relation to the mall.

Meridian is the busiest street in Puyallup. For a person with the cognitive ability of a 9 year old I don't think it would be safe to cross. I ride my bike with a friend and we never cross Meridian even though our area is much less busy than down by the mall. IMO they need to get word out to more people - a wider range of reverse 911. If she was around there someone had to have seen something. There is *so* much activity in that area.

The reason I ask, is that there is a level II RSO (rape of child, no age given) that lives on that block and has lived in several places within the state. I hope that he has been checked out, (along with the other ones in the area.)

Absolutely, Idaho, thank you for the map, and that is exactly where I was drawn to almost immediately. Also, if you put the Google Map in SAT mode, you can more easily see the forested area directly east of the reservoir itself. Go directly east some more and the edge of the treeline goes rather abruptly down, offering that 'view' I got into the valley below (between Sumner and Orting, proper).

I'm really not sure, but I don't think she would be crossing Meridian to get there. IMO, that would be beyond 2 blocks and crossing Meridian is pretty dangerous (though I do see people do it). We live off of Meridian several miles up - where it is less busy and I won't even cross Meridian when biking with another adult.

If she simply got lost it is so populated that she should have been able to get help. Just after the older houses (which I believe is where she lives) are subdivisions packed with houses. Everything is built very close together with little privacy. IMO they need to plaster this all over the news. The area is so busy if they get it on the headlines then someone may have some information. There is a lot of thru traffic using Meridian as well as 128th and Military Road (parallel to Meridian after going down 128th). I often use those roads, but I'm not within 3 miles to be alerted in the reverse 911. Meridian is so busy many people cut off and travel Military Rd/122nd Ave to avoid traffic.

The one part that bothers me with the blue line heading to the entrance to the reservoir is if that is gated or not? If you take a look at routes north of there, I seem to be heading through the neighborhood there, turning left on Military Rd E and following that up and around. I'm pretty familiar with Military Rd, and somewhat with Shaw, and there are a lot of trees, less open residential where people might "see" something. Also, access to the wooded area east of the reservoir seems easier?
