"SEATTLE -- LW, the mother of missing 15-year-old LC of Bonney Lake, says her daughter’s story can be a teaching moment for other parents and teens about being vigilant with technology.

Day after day, the sobs and worry overwhelm LW. “Every day is harder than the last,” she says."

Snip

"Criddle says parents should also check their child’s browser history if the history has been deleted that should be a red flag. She advises parents also check every browser.

“You may be looking at Internet Explorer and they may be doing all their bad stuff on Chrome,” said Criddle.

She adds that apps can also be disguised using other icons on the phone. She says if a child wants something online, these days they can usually figure out a way to do it."

Your hotel room photos could help catch sex traffickers
TraffickCam: Your hotel room photos could stop sex traffickers - CNN

"That's where TraffickCam comes in. It's a simple phone app that uses crowdsourced snapshots of hotel rooms to help law enforcement locate victims and prosecute sex traffickers.

Any travelers pit stopping at a hotel can turn on their phone's GPS location and upload photos of the room from four different angles to TraffickCam's database.

The idea is that law enforcement agencies can then check adverts featuring suspected trafficking victims in hotel rooms against TraffickCam's database of photos."

Qmfr:

I was thinking something similar....what kind of creeps want to have sex with a drugged up 15 year old?
I had actually also started a thread a while back about the motels, etc that protect these people. Note to find and post.

Eta: I did see one case where a good trucker saw something like this happening and reported it.

(O/T, here's a thread I started a while back:

Sex trafficking victim sues hotels, truckstops, website for profiting from exploitati...
Sex trafficking victim sues hotels, truckstops, website for profiting from exploitati

"An 18-year-old Houston girl lured into the shady underworld of sex trafficking has launched a sweeping civil lawsuit in Harris County that's among the first in the country to accuse prominent hotel chains, well-known trucks stops and a ubiquitous website of profiting from illegal exploitation of a minor.

The suit, filed in Harris County court, seeks damages from 15 hotel chains and five truck stops, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Choice Hotels International, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, TravelCenters of America and the company that operates the Flying J truckstops.

The Backpage.com website and its CEO, Carl Ferrer, who have been named in a variety of legal actions nationally, are also defendants in the lawsuit." )

Hmmm... Police didn't name the man. I wonder if this was the 18 year old who took her to the couple? JMO.
I was just wondering the same thing.

A search of Tenino will be taking place today.

So, they started off in Bonney Lake, headed to the Federal Way Transit Center (getting closer to Seattle), then were spotted in Tacoma, and now they are searching Tenino (Going further outwards)?

Seems they went away from BL at first, then closer and now are headed in the completely opposite direction.

The entire Puget Sound Region, from Everett to Tacoma is a Haven for this type. Seattle 'Homeless' industry protect them. They don't do warrant checks. Police are barred from doing sweeps, and warrant Checks.
They are a protected class here.

Detectives in Grays Harbor County said Wednesday they want to know where Fitzpatrick was in 2009 when Lindsey Baum was kidnapped.

Her remains were identified earlier this month after being found in Central Washington last fall. Fitzpatrick has a former girlfriend and a child who live in McCleary, where Baum was last seen in June 2007.

'Vigilantes' attack wrong man in search for missing Bonney Lake teen, police say
