Says a resident was driving by and seen her walking at 9:15pm about half way home.

Do the charts show her close to home?

I will post this evening on the Case Briefings Thread in the Forensic Astro Forum. Neptunian & I have been working together on this one... If she has time to post before I do, I'm sure she will.

The charts suggest she's hidden/ hard to find, but not far away.

I have a fulltime stepdaughter who is 10 years old. She is nowhere near as mature as Lindsey sounds. I would've guessed that myspace was done by a 13-15 year old.

My stepdaughter does not have a myspace, and I know that for a fact as our only computer is in the living room and we can always see what she's doing. She wants a myspace, she says a couple of her friends have them, but my husband won't let her yet.

My stepdaughter also likes the movie Twilight. She hasn't read the books, although she has expressed some interest in doing so. One girl in her class was reading them. I have read them all and the first three I would be somewhat okay with her reading but I think she would get bored with them. The fourth book has a LOT of sexual content and I would not let her read that one, no way.

She is more interested in Hannah Montana and Webkins, as most of her friends seem to be too. She still thinks boys are way gross.


This little Lindsey sounds way too mature, and it sounds like she has way too little supervision. She sounds like a prime target for an internet stalker to me

Mom believes Lindsey was kidnapped...

Investigators monitored Lindsey Baum’s MySpace page for any clues but said the account has been inactive since she vanished and she left no posts indicating she was planning to leave."There was nothing that indicated any preplanned intention for her to run away or go anywhere," said Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Rick Scott.Searching the Wildcat Creeks on Monday, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office dive team didn’t find any signs of the missing girl. Other officers took the contents out of Dumpsters making sure nothing goes unsearched."With the time that's passed now, it doesn't look good," Scott said. Searchers said the route Lindsey would have taken from her friend's home to her own home is short and direct. Police said the girl was unlikely to get lost.

The MySpace accounts don't surprise me - I too think Twilight is a little iffy for a 10-year-old's favorite reading material, but it really is what they're all reading right now. I've seen people on other boards horrified that she claims to like Stephen King and Twilight and saying that horror stories aren't for 10-year-olds, but it wasn't that long ago that the Goosebumps series (which, granted, isn't Stephen King) was THE biggest reading material for upper-elementary school kids. I'm guessing that Lindsay made her page with her mom's consent, since her mom is her MySpace friend, but I know for a fact that a lot of kids have them (even below the legal age of 13) without their parents knowing - technically, MySpace and Facebook are blocked by the computers at my school and the middle school where I used to teach, but the kids have some kind of sixth sense for getting around the proxy servers and getting to the websites anyway. The school librarians had their hands full keeping kids from logging on to social networking sites from library computers during lunches - it's sort of sad that it's not enough for a parent to be vigilant in guarding their at-home Internet activities, because if a kid really WANTS to do it, they're going to find a way regardless.

I'm glad LE is monitoring the MySpace pages, though; I'm still hoping that the post from a few days ago about her possibly running off to another friend's house is true.

I know alot of people think myspace is a horrible website. I personally use it as a tool to see what is going on with my daughter and her friends. My 12 yr old (13 next month) is very talkitive so I know alot about what she is up to. I log in on her myspace and check out the messages left for her then i click on the friends myspace that left the message and find out what my daughter has left for her. I also like to log onto the friends myspaces and check out their top friends. Sometimes their parents are on there as friends and you can learn alot about the parents which in turn tells alot about how they parent. Believe me some of the parents myspaces are worse than the kids. So are so bad their kids shouldn't be viewing them.
Anyhow after that huge post i think myspace can be a good parenting tool. After reading this thread though I'm off to check myspace and make sure my daughter doesn't have another myspace I don't know about.

OT: I bought two astrology books and have started reading them, but it is like learning a new language. I know it will take me a long time learn just the basics.

In my working theory, there is a person that I refer to as M, I believe this person is an adult. In court records, there is someone with the same name (can't guarantee that it is the same person) that has had her children removed and placed under the jurisdiction of the court. No mention of what the reasons were.

I really wish the media would just dig this person up already so I can use names.

Respectfully snipped. There is still NO AMBER Alert for Lindsey. That is just her missing poster through NCMEC. Just wanted to clear that up to avoid confusion. She does have a CANS Missing Endangered Alert, but no AMBER Alert.

Above link is a video and some info. Seems to me like the moms are besides themselves with grief, going on camera, more than willing to take lie detector tests. I rule them out as having any involvement what so ever. It doesn't look good for this child - the only way she would be hiding out with an adult for 4 days is if she is captured and being held. mho As far as running away, she has no resources for the 4 days - no money, food, clothes, directions, cell phone. My heart goes out to all the loved ones who are in agony over the 'what ifs', 'if only', woulda, coulda, and shoulda's. mho

I don't think I've ever seen the last person to have seen a missing person so eager to share information with the media and/or post on the internet, especially so soon after the person goes missing and especially when that missing person is a child.

For some reason, it's just not sitting well with me. It's just very odd. I really can't remember seeing it before.

I'm with you on this Kat! There is conflict about who actually told her to go home - was it Kara or her husband?

Then - did anyone leave the house after Lindsey left? If so when, and where were they supposed to be going?

And the dogs really have me confused here. I'm thinking we are not getting an accurate report on what the dogs did. The dogs should have been able to follow, at a minimum, Lindsey's scent on the walk TO the friend's house. To find no scent at all is unbelievable. So media is not giving us a thorough accounting of the dogs' behavior, imo.

IF there was no scent at all, that would leave me to believe that Lindsey never went to her friend's house and it doesn't seem like that would be accurate given the events of the evening. So..... where does that leave us, but confused.

It is important to go back to the last person that saw Lindsey. In this case, that would be the friend that walked her part way home? Who is that friend? OR the resident that saw her walking at about 9:15 p.m. approximately 1/2 way to her house. Who was that resident?

And if those sightings are not true, we go back to the friend's house.....

momtective - great point! Pedophiles look on My Space for pics of young girls all the time, it's a known fact. Hopefully, he was ruled out in the beginning. when I pull up SO in that area, I only get two, and about 11 in a neighboring town. Hope they all have been ruled out.

The articles keep reporting that Scott Williams is the father of Lindseys friend who she was visiting before she disappeared. Kara is the mom? Different last name? Any info on this Williams guy?
