Thank you for stepping forward, CCM. You are a respected member of WS and it is good to know you were the one taking the photo of Lindsey. It is a wonderful cause and I applaud all the officers for taking time to help these children. I bet you have gotten some great smiles from those children in photos. :) It is an excellent photo of Lindsey. Good job!

I hope you can understand why we are asking questions about the officers in McCleary and have them on our radar. There are too many unanswered questions surrounding the disappearance of Lindsey and we are searching for anyone who came into contact with her. We know her mother said that all of the officers knew Lindsey and her brother. We also know that Lindsey spent a lot of time around the area of the PD.

No problem. You guys are doing a great job working through the clues. It was looking like the next question was going to be: Who was the guy taking the photo?

Shop with a Cop is a great program, and the cops are smiling as much as the kids. The children are given $100 to spend on presents, and every year I watch these big, tough cops digging into their own wallets so the kids will have enough for presents for the entire family.

If we are any kind of sleuths at all...it should have been the next question. ;)

Do you have any theories on what may have happened to Lindsey?

And since you are from that neck of the woods...would you go clear that darn bridge for me? LOL

I'm not sure what has come of this but I am posting it for consideration

Orcutt, CA-- Residents are being told to keep a lookout for a man driving a white van with possibly Washington State license plates.

Santa Barbara Sheriff deputies received a report Monday afternoon, that a man driving a white van near Hartnett and Cane tried to lure an 11-year-old girl into his van.

The girl said, the man pulled up to her and asked her to help him find a lost dog. The girl told sheriff officials that when she ran to a nearby home to call for help.

Detectives say the suspect is in his 50's and was driving a white cargo van with two rear windows covered by curtains.

Wouldn't the grass be trampled down if someone hid her under the bridge?

I believe this was covered in one of the other threads. And I do believe someone called the tip line about it.

I don't necessarily believe she is there, but there could be evidence they did not uncover which they didn't look too hard for in their search, imo. There is also a place where it looks like kids have carved out on the park side of the bridge to go down underneath which would not disturb the weeds (or it is erosion).

Oh, that makes sense.

I would have thought that would have all been searched considering it was so close to her home.

Thanks Jennifer, I try to read all of the posts in the Lindsey forum and must have missed that, as long as the info gets out for consideration. Sorry for doubling up if I did. Cheers, and thanks for that map of the "property" (post #17, this thread)

Hello everyone.

O/T: My 9 year old stepdaughter was raped by a convicted sex offender in Poplar Bluffs MO, last night. The reason that he was able to get close to her was that although he was convicted of similar crimes in the past, he was not required to register until his 18th birthday and he's only 17. So he basically got a free pass. Thank you MO lawmakers for making this possible.
It never ends.

 Im so sorry to hear such heart breaking news......:blowkiss:

Hi Norm - there is a separate thread for this incident. I sent several emails and made a few phone calls. After that, nothing. Not a word. It appears this has fallen off the radar.

No problem Norm, I know it's hard to keep up on some days.

I agree with you, SS, that this stream and bridge and the fact that the stream seems to lead into a hole under the service station, and the possibility that a high water scenario would bring about a draining into the place "under" the service station itself, enough to send a body under and into that area, and the reality that a complete flushing of the system was underway at that time by McCleary, telling residents that a strange smell would possibly result from this flushing as well as a high water force in various areas...

I don't "think" that LB is in that place, but I also don't think that it should be dismissed completely.

I looked for nmk original post and sometimes one doesn't have the time to keep searching the threads.

:hug:nmk - may your granddaughter be healed with love and be given a sense of empowerment. I'm so sorry

It would also be trampled down if someone had searched well and looked for evidence of any kind under there, but in JVK's photos or in Cyber's photo...the grass/weeds looked perfectly normal.

One consideration SS, the photos were taken a month after the fact so perhaps they are not significant when it comes to regrowth of long grass and such.

I didn't think it was a month from when she went missing to when JVK went to McCleary, but I could be mistaken.

I can say that it appears all of my theories have been addressed by you guys. It appears LE were using cadaver dogs so they are covering all the bases, but they are treating the case as though Lindsey is still alive, until they find out otherwise. For a number of Officers, this is their only case.

I'm quite aways from McCleary. Perhaps one of the locals can check the bridge.

I watched them search the waterway on both sides of the bridge...and they used poles and looked under the bridge. It was a team of 3 guys, in waders, and they also did a search along Summit Road where Wildcat Creek goes under the road. I drove past them when they were searching both locations: the area along Summit because I have to go by there to get to town, and the area of the ditch/bridge behind the Shell station.

Exactly, it's still a possibility, but covering all possibilities is wise, thanks for that CC

I have one personal request to the locals concerning the individual who was posting "lost dog" posters around town.

Do any of these posters remain on telephone poles and, if so, is the individual's name and phone number provided (I would think that at least a phone number would be supplied).

I have not found a post related to this and would be interested in any information related to that. It would also be nice to have a description of this individual, if the dog was actually found, and what MB meant by this being a "legit" appeal to find a dog.

I believe there are still posters up...for a missing lab. There was one at the 108 turn off from Summit, I'll see if it's there tomorrow.

I didn't make it in to town today to try and locate the area of JM's interview pics...so I'll try to get that taken care of too. I decided it was too nice of a day to leave my house when I had so much I needed to get done, and it was cool enough to actually work outside. I have an acre of blueberries getting ripe that I need to get picked before the birds do.
