Hello Boondock I noticed there on Laura Recovery Center that there is another picture of her wearing this outfit. I don't know how to place pics on here as of yet, but if you go to link above it has it there. In that picture it kind of reminds me of a vehical there looks to be some colored pictures in the back seat . There also looks to be a long sort of bag not sure what this is..

FYI - link to some of KK's MomWhoWrites topics, which are quite diverse and imo indicate that she may genuinely wish to be a successful writer, has had this desire for quite some time. She appears to have worked on a number of different topics prior to stumbling on LB's cause in an unfortunate maze of horror and personal tragedy. And, at the moment I believe that she is honestly doing her best to help MB and family with what she knows best, writing and sharing:

However, one article I'd love her to compose would be something to the effect of "Keeping track of your child's direction on MySpace and other friends forums." Maybe investigating such a topic might help to keep things in focus at home.

Well said, Norm, thank you. The opinion I have, however, cannot be expressed very diplomatically....

By her own admission on at least one public forum, that particular "stay at home mom" is fully aware of the myspace pages of her two juvenile children. But she chose to defend their choice of content. As of today, both of their myspaces still contain what I consider to be overt sexual innuendos.

Considering the fact that her daughter MK has been interviewed on TV and Lindsey's disappearance has been getting national media attention - for her to knowingly allow this to continue is a form of child abuse & endangerment, IMO.

In March of this year, she wrote a decent article about domestic abuse, so I would expect her to have at least some knowledge of the subject. Granted, it's not always easy to "connect the dots" of our own experience, but she surely has to realize that negligence and recklessness are forms of abuse.

Sometimes I lose a little sleep (like tonight) from worrying about the safety of these kids. I'm going to go ahead and post the link to her article, but once I get a few hours sleep and can think of a way to be tactful and kind to her, I will probably send her an email.

It appears that the web sleuthing community has gained some notoriety according to CBG, the author of this particular article. Interesting reading, imo, even though she is clearly not a fan. However, she does input a story from her own life of an ongoing stalking that may or may not relate in some way to LB and her friends in the town of McCleary. The idea of kids keeping things quiet and not sharing with an adult because of the group dynamic may well be something to consider.

PS - note at the end of the story that we and another group are credited :clap::clap: ...er, :boohoo:..er, ... whatever, they say even bad publicity is...etc, etc,

Not sure if a link has been posted to this article but I have not seen one so decided to share it since things are slow. It may inspire some movement or further thought.

While it is an interesting read, I believe the author is wrong to compare her personal experiences decades ago to what could have taken place in McCleary.

Yes. Children can have this "underground" network who won't tell the truth about things they may know to people in authority...however, children are more savy today about the dangers, imo. Frankly, they are more streetsmart than we give them credit for today and you can tell by looking at their myspace pages.

The criticism of both mothers figure into this scenario because of their choices. We have children going missing at an alarming rate and we know prevention is the key to slowing down access to our children so they do not become another statistic. She can put her blinders on and believe the choices parents or adults make do not have a direct correlation to abducted children, but I can show her case after case where it did not have to happen.

Don't even get me started on her view of sleuths and bloggers! She needs to wake up and smell the coffee! If it were not for sites like this one, Lindsey's name and face would be slowly drifting away from the public eye. The fact we care enough to research every possibility without leaving anyone out is always the right thing in any case. We would be remiss if we didn't consider the brother with their prior history or the people of her congregation...and so would LE!!

CBG has no clue what happened to Lindsey and for her to have some grand notion that children will be led by groups like our own not to respond is, imo, without merit. I suppose she is basing it on some long ago brush with a possible abductor where two girls were not smart enough to do something besides become sitting ducks. A similar event happened when I was in school many years ago and the girls did the right thing instead. They immediately ran to an adult and had them call the police to find the man. Imagine that?!

At a glance I thought so too, but it is not the same. Same color, but different jacket. This one in the car is a zippered hoodie.
The one in the office is (heavier, gold) zippered, but has a collar.

380 Lindsey fliers are going out across the country as I type.

We have Back to the Bricks this weekend, classic cars and their owners from across the U.S. come in for this. I had 380 fliers at 6 am and I am cleared out. For the last hour, I have been writing her websites and contact info on slips of paper and handing them out.

I'll be going back this afternoon, but I am doing Haleigh Cummings and Coral Hall fliers this afternoon, so by the time I get home this evening, I may be too whipped to type. It's gonna hit 90 degrees by three and I have my kids with me, but I figured I'd duck in while we were home for lunch. I have a few people that asked for more than one so they can post them at other end of summer shows, or put them up at their home stores and churches.

This picture?

This photo seems haunting. Lindsey's face looks like it is full of trepidation. When I look at her face with the ocean behind her in the video she looks so happy, without a care in the world. This is a sweet gesture. I wish her family and others will now take their loveing concern, away from the computer and put it in action by getting some two ply boards and 2x2 post to create a beautiful sign for Lindsey, showing the world how much she means to the town. This story may probably hit world news again in the near furture. Time to reboot! If the public see's apathy has settled in they are less likely to remember the story wich is the whole point of all the endevores of those who care. Go Girl Scouts in Lindsey's troop!

This video was done beautifully. It so affected me with tears running down my cheek. Normally, I do not come to tears. Since Lindsey has been missing she has definitely affected me in many ways. My heart goes out to her family and friends that are close. I hope and pray she is soon located.

Was just wondering about something you mentioned about ORV park which got me to thinking. I know you are concentrating on the ORV park and I was wondering is there a fence or something that prevents people from coming and going out of that area or can one use a loggin road go into it so one wouldn't have to pay or register to use it. Is there a trail that can be taken to reach Mccleary. I know my son when he use to ride with his father, use to be able to travel through trails to get to the other parts of Maine. At one point they had ended up 50 miles away. I also wonder if there are groups that do four wheeling might be familure with the area and trails.

Wish we knew where and when the photo was taken. Does anyone else think she looks much different there from her other pix? Comments?

Track, I agree, I have seen two photos, this being one, that seem to affect a more mature appearance. I do a great deal of photography and find that a number of factors can cause a portrait to seem uncharacteristic: lighting, angle, expression (a pensive look or a moody gaze imo often seems to add a few years). However, it would be nice to know exact dates on some of these photos.

Hmm, apparently the areas you photographed seem to be local drinking haunts if your selection of photos indicates the general character of the woodland surrounding.

HI Tamg, At first I thought the whole Forest was off limits except during certain times. Now I know that isn't true. Tomorrow morning I'm calling the ORV Park again to ask about the accessibility of it after hours. That Park is on the very north part of the 90,000 acre Capitol Forest. It might have a gate that closes, but there are other ways to access the Forest.

I did read on milepost 31 on Hwy 12 {that cuts off and goes south from Hwy 8 a bit west of McCleary} there are roads that go into the Forest. They actively log that area and there are also brush pickers who go in during the day.

That would be a real short drive down Hwy 12 to milepost 31 from McCleary IMO. One would be in another world real soon, with small meadows ringed by alder and fir trees, many creeks with old bridges and endless logging roads to get lost on!

No real stories/encounters.

The 'born on' date of that one can was fairly recent. Its location was remote enough to raise an eyebrow.

Sometimes i couldn't tell if i was following foot or animal trails.

The bone was a little odd, duno what to make of it.

Didn't report anything.

The event @ the park was setup by the evergreen christian center.
