Maybe later in the day it will clear but also think safety should come first on searchers. Think all of you are doing a wonderful job searching for Lindsey and I wanted to thank you for all the time you have spent looking. It is very much appreciated. Wish I could help you all more but live so far away. Good luck on the searches

Well...it's sunny...but it's still pretty windy...and last weather report I saw said showers today...

  • #484
I've learned in the PNW if you let a bit of weather stop you, you won't do much of anything. That said, it's easier for me to stay in in the weather too...

Sounds like the weather is clearing so maybe they will go out again. Think windy wouldn't be so bad.. just the thunder and lightening and down pours think would be hap hazaroudous. Maybe you can get a group together and go. Hopefully you know how to get a hold of the others..

No, I'm a bit new here. Think I'll just shut down and go for a drive...

Wet weather makes people uncomfortable, thunder and lightning can be dangerous...but wind is what kills people. It can bring down branches or full-grown trees onto people. The wind we have right now is decorating my yard with small branches and making the trees dance.

OOH I didn't realize that.. Here we don't get that bad of wind so guess I just didn't realize the hazards from the wind. I wouldn't want anything to happen to our searchers while searching. I just hope that if she is alive she too has taken to cover from the wind. Thank you Mccleary for explaining it.

I've had it drilled into my head since I was old enough to go out in the woods around the house by myself. I've lived in the same place for most of 30 years, with a couple years out in the woods in a different area. We've already had 1 tree fall today, a widowmaker we knew was hanging out there...so I'm sure we'll have more by the end of the wind.

True story! Popular Local Seattle musician Joe Shikany had ear punctured by a branch when he was little. A year ago Joe went to put his boat in the water and the same tree from childhood was caught in a windstorm blowing it up from the ground and falling on Joe, killing him. The funeral was so sad as ths was a freak accident. local papers did many stories on him

ok, I have a new rumor.... possibly...
eye witness saw a white SUV with fancy wheels driving up and down 5th street area in Mccleary several times that day. She did not get the license plate but did tell the authorities ..local LE and they did nothing. She stated the driver was not a local and she knows a lot of people in our town. She thought it was odd about the vehicle but didn't report it cuz not a crime to drive on the streets. She immediately reported it when she heard about LB !!

I wondered if she noticed if there was a man or woman driving it. I am also wondering if the person could of observed the fight that JB had with LB and maybe was checking to see where the girls might have walked to. Could someone been on the 3st and witness the adult telling Jb to go home therefore leaving the two girls alone. Is there a place that someone could park and see the arguement at the station. Could there be a possibility that LB made it as far as third street. Just things running through my head. I know keep coming back.

Fancy wheels just screams pimpmobile to me.

Like many on here think, could be kidnapping young girls for prostitution. For all we know, many of these missing girls might be taken for part of the same operation.

Wow just got back from my drive.....It was raining hard and a bit windy to be in the woods.......I didn't make it to the McCleary area. My grandaughter called me and asked me to take her to Rochester to get a kitten from a friend.....didn't tell me I was also going to have to buy food and litter....

Isn't that the truth.. Wonder if there where other strange vehicals beside SUV seen that was lurking the neighborhood. May just sitting and parked watching. I hope for LB it wasn't a pimp mobile. Oh man. Well I hope you all have a good night. I hope tomorrow is a better day and some are able to search.

There's been a bit of wind too...with the branches soaked and heavy, and the wind pushing them around...people really need to be careful. No one in my family goes into the windy woods because our family's fatal disease is known as "death by tree." Especially as the ground gets saturated and entire trees start to come down along waterways and on hillsides.

Watching Northwest News from Seattle this morning I saw it was going to be stormy in your area, just like it is here so I didn't think you'd even go out today. Kudos to all who ventured outdoors. It is the same weather here and the wind is only blowing 15 mph but it seems like more cause it is gusty and raining like all get out,

I'm glad you are safe and sound Jennfer. Like McCleary says the woods can be dangerous in this kind of weather. The Doug Fir trees have a very shallow root system, and if the tree is weak for any reason it will just keel over in the wind, roots and all! That is when the dirt is soaked from the rain.

I know I'm wishing for a cup of cocoa, or . . Bailey's, coffee liquer in a hot dup of Joe. Ya Ya ;}

I changed it. I thought it was a marshmello that looked like a frog but see now it was from some alternative site![LOL

Scandi, that is seriously a gross cup of coffee!

Sorry to hear the bad weather has kept you all indoors, but better to be safe.

I don't know why, maybe it's just a gut feeling, but from the beginning I've thought someone took Lindsey out of the area. Then hearing about several attempted abductions within an hour's drive and finding Jaycee alive after being taken 150 miles from Tahoe just strengthens that feeling for me.

I don't know what the statistics are but I doubt a perp would go to too much trouble or go too deep into the woods to leave her. And since she hasn't been found, I just can't shake the idea that someone has her in a neighboring community.

The fact that she hasn't been found gives me hope that she's still alive. I also hope that the forensic astrologers are right and there's going to be a break in the case in a couple of weeks.

Ok, we drove through the woods.. Didn't "search" really just took a drive out through the logging roads.
It was pretty wet and wild up there and I wouldn't have wanted to be out walking the woods..but a drive wasn't bad.

Frikkin' heck. Got me thinkin' there is some kind of posse going after tweens and young teens for some prostitution ring--maybe into Canada? How can these girls just vanish? Maybe there IS a common denominator. On the other hand, the freakish old man pervs. aren't off the hook either, nor the younger ones in my book.
