I saw that too Karen. I looked at it real hard from across the room LOL and it looked like the In Sessions site. Not sure as I seldom go there but it had the same look. I just thought it was interesting.

hej der Scandi - what kind of threats was the media talking about? TIA :waitasec:

It was the other one. (I saw what appeared to be 3 little monkeys waving their arms perhaps.)

Thanks SS, How funny 'waving their arms perhaps', and am glad it wasn't us! I just haven't read any threats anywhere like they mentioned in the TV spot. Could have missed it too.

Again, where does it state it was a white car?

from: http://www.kirotv.com/news/21142578/detail.html
"Law enforcement sources told KIRO 7 that among the evidence collected during the search were condoms and pornographic magazines. A car was also seized and will undergo further forensic testing."
Maybe it was in the video? Not saying for certain it was because I don't remember.

It is possible we are assuming it was white, but I don't know that it would make that much of a difference because LE has a valid reason for taking it in to process it. We did find through another source that one of the people in the home supposedly drove a white car and it would make sense it was the car which was taken in by LE.

I haven't read any direct threats. A poster from o'er yonder did mention something like this family might have been greatly wronged {like in targeted which led to the search}, but I had no inkling of that from reading there so if it was written they were threatened I sure missed it. xox

. . . and there was a white car photographed parked in front of {or in back of} the one house searched. It looked drivable and not a junk car.

I am not Scandi, but I haven't seen any death threats here! I haven't even seen any threats at all except that it was rumored people in the bar were boasting and getting riled up. Of course, that could be in any bar across the country where a child has gone missing. People who are drinking say things which are just ridiculous and not meant literally.

I think that was the reporters point in showing the site on his laptop and am 99% positive the word threat was mentioned. It was even used in the promo for that spot, like coming up next we will hear about threats made against this family . . . ., but no specific threats were mentioned to my recollection. xox

Here is the link to the video
http://www.kirotv.com/video/21142650/index.html

I didn't get, from the report, that the threats were coming from the internet. They were talking about how the theories being discussed online are incorrect and in addition to wrong theories on the internet they are receiving "death threats"

But I could be taking how it was said incorrectly. Maybe someone can email Richard Thompson and find out what exactly he meant. That way no one is assuming anything.

The title of the video for Kiro is: VIDEO BACKSTORY: Blogs, Death Threats, In Missing Girl Case.

http://www.kirotv.com/video/21142650/index.html

The reporter mentioned the blogs and said the family said those theories were wrong. Then he mentioned the family also said they were receiving death threats. This is at :58. (It was not indicated they were coming from a blogger or any site, imo)

Yep! Reporter stated "threats". No wonder that one witness doesn't want her name out there. Too many Slim Shady's in that town. It makes me wonder where a single woman would meet a decent man in McCleary because the town sounds scary. Guess you need a car, and some girlfriends to meet people unless McCleary has a singles club or your into meeting people on line.

So in that light SS, it would seem the family were defending their honor at that point.

As to why they would have been threatened, it must go much deeper than we simple Sleuthers have info to put it all together.

What we do know is that the process is ongoing like it should. I certainly hope that nothing incriminating is found and LE moves on to the next credible tip. xox

I was thinking In-Sessions also. I know you were looking to see if it was Webslueths! Girlfriend!Cause I was too! LOL! I love it when W/S is mentioned as it may mean this site is making an impact, hopefully in a good way. ~<3~

I think it all goes back to Probable Cause for the SWs. What did they already have or already know which enabled them to get the SWs? It had to be something of significance.

Where are those darn Search Warrants?! Hasn't it been five days?! (I feel like a kid asking, "Are we there yet?".)

I'm at work on dial up so having trouble pulling up sites- will check for reports when I get home.
I will say that we on this side of the Bridge (on the peninsulas) do not get a lot of media attention (well unless you are a sparkling Vampire) and that is probably why the coverage has been so poor.

Ya Ya Since way before the Scott Peterson case when I joined I read about how several times LE read here, and even once worked with Admin on something. It could also have happened when Scott was said to have been posting on the chat from libraries in San Diego in Jan/Feb of 2003. And then Love_Mama {Bless her soul} and I tried to find out if a girl in Illinois had been abducted from either Idaho or Montana. In conversing with that local PD they told us they had joined WS so they could pull it up when ever they wanted. We were simply elated they cared that much. And they were dynamos and discovered she had not actually been abducted. xox

SS, does the average everyday Joe Schmoe have access to the SWs? I mean can we go someplace online and get that info or do we have to wait until the media puts them out there. Half the time the media only gives out a snippet of info.. just enough to keep people watching their program in hopes that they will say more.

Will the SWs have the "probable cause" on them or is that kept a secret?
