At the beginning of the vigil video, it showed a pastor. All I remember was his voice sounded a bit squeaky. He is cut out of all the video now... well, the only one I know of was the Fox13 site that has been linked. It isn't on there any more.

Does anyone remember this?

I wondered if it was the Watne dude.

Well, I realize that I am reading at 3 forums but able to post at just 2, so forgive me. I am going with something someone somewhere posted.

Anyways, found it. The article, but not the picture.

Wayne Watne of Evergreen Christian Community in Olympia and two other local ministers said prayers for Lindsey’s return. Watne took speakers from the assembled crowd. Friends of the family stepped up, taking turns expressing their hope and their pain.

“I really, really miss her,” said one little girl.

“She was special to me, special to everyone,” said another. “She was someone I could care about, and you could trust and count on. It really, really hurts.”

The friend who last saw Lindsey also addressed the crowd. She said the girls asked if Lindsey could spend the night at her house, but when her parents said no, the girls parted.

“I saw her at the end of Maple (Street),” the girl said. “I always think if my mom and me would’ve done something different this wouldn’t have happened.”

As she wept, Watne encouraged the crowd to applaud her to show support.

“Nobody blames you,” Watne said.

Josh Baum, Lindsey’s brother, also stood up.

“I’m very sad,” he said. “I want you guys to find my sister, Amen!”

To finish the vigil, the crowd walked barely a block to the Baum house, lining the street practically all the way down to the park. There, Watne presented a sign saying “Hope” to Josh Baum and a family friend. Mother Melissa Baum did not feel up to greeting her neighbors, who instead left cards and gifts on the chairs in front of the house and shouted messages like, “I love you!”

“We’re doing this because we love you,” Watne said.

So if the argument was behind the gas station... why were they behind the gas station? Is it a shortcut? Did she maybe go behind the gas station on her walk home?

Just throwing stuff out there. I need to look at the map.

Somebody needs to verify if the dogs picked up a scent. Both scenarios don't work.

The back of the Shell station faces the street the Baums live on.

The way it looks to me, from Lindsey's house, they cut through Beerbower Park's parking lot/sidewalk.

Yes, that leads to a shortcut behind the Shell station, and then they'd cross 3rd to Maple.

I've given KaraK a wide area of trust in her postings (with a grain or 2) and from a link, found this blog post from today... written by Marilyn Lachester.
Apparently she is talking to FBI and GHCS.

The whole thing is strange.

I'm thinking maybe Lindsey was abducted by a stranger after all. Not sure how much weight to put on the people posting... wondering what is the agenda. IF ANY. Maybe they are both telling the truth as they know it.

No one knows what goes on in a home when you are not there.

I would love to know if the school counselors in Elma & McCleary where LB & JB have attended school have offered any information or been questioned by LE. I think they may find some valuable information shared with teachers or staff there.

Well I'm two threads behind here...but I'll try to catch up somehow. We went to our beach property this weekend. On the way down I checked out the exits. I had myself confused because I thought there was a Shell gas station for the McCleary exit. But....i was backwards.

So it goes McCleary exit first, then 2 Elma exits, then the last one is Montesano before you hit Aberdeen. Right?

That means nothing...except I was struck by the woods around there. I HATE that freeway...Highway 8. No street lights...just black as night around there. I hate driving home from there. It's creepy! There are miles and miles of nothing but woods and no lights.

It adds nothing to finding Lindsey and where she is....but it scares me cuz of all the woods and the area. It has to be an abductors best dream. They could take this little girl anywhere in that area and it's endless.

Ugh :banghead:

From Olympia, McCleary actually has 2 exits. One with on off ramp, and the next without. The first exit is the one that will take you into town and down the hill past the Shell station.

Well there are other exits to other towns before hitting Aberdeen. Two exits into McCleary, three into Elma, one into Satsop, one into Brady and three into Montesano (this is even counting the roads that exit the highway and take you to various parts of the county), then you drive through Central Park and eventually right into Aberdeen.

The Shell station is at the first exit into McCleary (but it's not directly at the exit so you won't see it from the highway). And yes we have a lot of wooded areas here.

Where is that bridge? Is it shown in either one of those photos?

See. I didn't know and hubby was already at the beach. So is the main exit the Mox Chehalis exit road? Was that the main exit to town?
What is the second exit?

No, not as far as I can tell... but for some reason I think it is nearby.

jvk will know, she took a ton of pics. I just checked, and have not saved it... I copied about 30+ of hers. I will look for it and see if there is a description.

It takes you to the Elma McCleary road. You can turn left to head towards Elma or right to go into McCleary (via Simpson Ave)

I keep looking for it on the maps of the park, but they won't allow me to get close enough to see it there. I just thought maybe you could see it on your maps. ;)

I believe the bridge is in the bottom photo, about halfway down the right-hand side...coming out of the bottom edge of the park and ride lot. It goes across the creek/ditch and comes out into the park.

It may just be the path to the bridge...the bridge would be a little further to the right.

So that would be right near Lindsey's house?

Depends... From Olympia (Mox-Chehalis) that is the first exit. The second exit is only a mile or two farther. If you take it and take a right at the stop sign, it will take you into town also.

Why do you think she lives on Mommsen? I figured she lives on Maple and would have been headed the same direction as Lindsey when she saw her on her way to work. Also, isn't Maple a dead end in the other direction?

Because the word 'neighbor' was used. That would mean she lived close to Lindsay, and I don't get the impression the 3 had walked far before Jason was sent back home.

Lindsay was seen before she got to KK's house at 8:45 and then twice at 9:15 on her way back home. Do you think this lady lived on Maple and saw the kids walking to KK's and then 1/2 hour later saw Lindsay walking home by herself as she started driving down Maple to 3rd to go to work?

And yes, Maple does dead end going west.
