Yeah...what Poco said! LOL It wouldn't hurt to stick your head out the door and see if you hear sirens, too. ;)

My windows are open and I did stand there for a bit. Hmmm, as I am typing, it's coming back again. Going right over my house now. I live on the south east side of McCleary. No sirens, but it's sweeping the area. It went way east then came back from the east to the west. This time on the north side of the hwy 8.

Which would put it in the area where hwy 8 is closest to McCleary then and very near the property they searched 6xs.

  • #163
can you see any lights ...does it look like its searching for something?

  • #164
Patiently awaiting any and all info you can give us, cyperswept....I'm all the way in AR and it's 4AM here....too anxious to sleep...

Possibly. It was a quick fly by though, not like earlier, where I could hear it for a long time.

This last time they were going slow, but went straight over my house so close it shook. However, they kept going west and out of earshot pretty quickly. Strange.

If I hear anything else, I'll let you know.

Do you think they missed something after 6 searches?? What do we know anything else about this property besides who the owner is and that kids played in the stream frequently??

Locals: Is this a stream that is deep/fast moving? Which direction does it flow and how fast? Any ideas on how deep it is? Where is the source of the creek/stream??

Well I would imagine until they find her, nothing can be searched too many times. I don't know how thorough the search really was to begin with. We had two searcher's knock on our door about 2 days after Lindsey disappeared and that's all the contact we have had. I was not home at the time, but my wife said they didn't ask to search our property nor did they search it. I thought that was odd. We are just barely outside the city limits here.

As far as the creek goes, I have not crossed that foot bridge and looked at the creek. I assume you mean the one on the south side of Beerbower Park.

Since it is the middle of the night, they must be searching for someone to keep going back over the area. If it was a fire, the fire department would have sounded their alarm and had the trucks rolling long ago plus I don't see them going back and forth. For a fire, a helicopter would stay rather central above the fire unless they were using a bucket and going to get water.

I am in the city and am used to them searching neighborhoods for perps. They do fly very low at times. It can shake the windows and everything inside. I don't care as long as they find who they are searching for tho!

I looked out our two story windows and could not see search lights the times before, but it was lower and behind the trees.

Ok, again I hear it. Just flew back west to east. No search lights and it was higher this time.

In all honesty, not sure which stream I'm talking about. Was just remembering that there was a stream on the property they searches 6x and that the kids played in it a lot. Wondered what the stream's source was....in case (God forbid, I hate to type this or even think it ) something washed up from somewhere upstream....I dunno how to read those darn Env. Scientist-ish topographical/geological maps(whatever they are, I'm a chemist so don't know anything about about reading those maps or doing the research, lol)....just thought it might be good info to have.

ETA: My beloved tree-hugger is VERY unhappy about losing his beauty sleep.....but he's doing the research anyway :)

Yippee!! We love chemists!! We need those here. :)

I haven't quite figured out the stream/creek situation in and around McCleary either. I don't see one going near that property on the maps, but they tell me it is there. LOL

If they are using their infrared, it is possible they wouldn't be using search lights.

I thought about that, but that would mean they are looking for a live body. Which is a good thing. :)

It would be a good thing. It may not have anything to do with Lindsey, but perhaps it does. I would think by now the area would be crawling with LE if it did tho.

Don't you need to go get a paper or something?! LOL

I'm almost afraid to say anything as I always seem to make a mistake, but have seen maps with both creeks.

Sand Creek comes from the NE and almost cuts right across McCleary ending up a bit west of where 6th st ends at those trees next to Hwy 8. The other creek is Wildcat {hope that is right, but Jenifer gave us a map of it eqrlier in the day I believe} and it lies up to the northwest of McCleary like at the top left corner of the town.

Locals might want to give a review to make sure this is correct. xox

He!!'s Bells, I'd be down by the access point of Hwy8. LOLOLOL Maybe we should call KOMO or King5:rolleyes: Get their bodies down there to do some great investigative journalism, right?
