I am kind of excited about this new center. It may give the extra push this case needs.

So someone could have been around the school that night and no one would really have seen the person? It looks like the school is a bit remote on the outskirts of town (or is this just my bad perception from the maps again?).

The school is on the upper edge of town...if you're driving up 3rd to go to state route 108 then you go past the front corner of the school property, which is where the portables were. At this point it's been bulldozed clean again and the side of the school has been painted. I don't know if they're going to build something new there (it was the bus barn before the portables were there) or if they're just going to fence it back in.

I guess after a week and a half there would have been an indication of someone being hidden in one. Then again...maybe not. I wonder how we could find out where those were rented and returned? If they were used for temp. classrooms, they probably won't be reused until closer to fall and makes me question if anyone entered them after they were emptied out after classes let out? If they don't have anyone using them this fall...they could sit on a lot for a year.

What is security like around the school area?

If they were anything like the temp ones at our local school they are one large room with no where to hide anything (no closets, nothing but four walls a roof and and a floor on wheels).

I'm sure they were at least walked through before they moved them. Or at least I hope they were.

They have to pull them out in sections, like a double or triple wide mobile...so they pull them apart, plastic over the openings, and haul them down the road.

I'm kinda confused. Today when cyber talked to KK, it was said that they were still looking for a building and such to have a command center...

Some info on the woman from the Laura Recovery Center. She is from Oregon and her niece was taken in California some months ago. I think she said she is a volunteer here helping coordinate the search effort along with Kara. They are looking for a building or operations center here in McCleary. If anyone knows of one they can use, please let me know.

but the links to the craigslist stuff are all from the 19th....yesterday...

so either KK is NOT involved in that... or she gave out bad info...right?

They told me that they had one lined up, but it fell through.

Also I should have mentioned this before, but KK said she had been stopped and talked to by the FBI just prior to encountering me. She actually pointed back across third street and I did see a guy standing outside a vehicle. Sorry I missed that. If that is true, then at least the FBI is still present and working in the area.

Good to know. Surely, they would think to search those and underneath them, too. Sometimes I have a lot of trust in LE that they are thorough and other times...not at all! It is amazing how this varies from town to town and county to county.

I still can't shake that JVK found they had not cleared those empty places at the nursing center. I think they do miss a lot in their quest because of lack of judgement and at times...lack of Search Warrants/Probable Cause.

Ok then I'm pretty sure they would have noticed if someone was in them.. Right? I mean I know workers can be lazy and not do everything they are supposed to do.. but I would think they'd notice something like that (please agree with me so I don't lose all faith in humanity lol)

I think they'd notice if someone was in it, if it was just a large open room. But if it's one of the portables with a bathroom they might not open it...I didn't get a good look to see if there was a restroom or not...but I know some have them because we used one at Capital that was set up with running water and all the amenities...except heat.

LOL You left out the best part, Cyber!! This also means they are still interested in questioning KK! Very interesting!! Thanks~

ETA: I wonder if they happened to be there or if they were keeping tabs on her for some reason? Was she driving or walking? So does the FBI normally just stop a person on the street to shoot the breeze if he/she was the last person to see a missing child?!

You never know! I would have thought they'd searched the area where Caylee was found and we all know how that turned out!

Yes...I agree with you!! They would notice!

Who needs heat in Washington State? It's not like we get snow or anything. ;)

Yeah...the roof at Capital just fell all by itself last Christmas...no 2 ft of snow or anything...and I sure wasn't snowed in for all of winter break with 2 toddlers...that would be too cruel. :P

No problem Cajun. You are pregnant.. soon laughing will be a thing of the past. Trust me, I know.. I'm a mom and grandmother (although I have to admit I can laugh at the things my 18 month old granddaughter does that used to make me pull my hair out with my own children. lol)

Back to topic:

For the locals: Have any of you noticed the large piles of gravel or whatever at the north end of the park between the ball fields and the retirement apartments? Any idea how long they've been there?
