Scandi~ The only problem is that with writers of crime shows...they kill someone, they always have clues, they have a ten minute turnaround time for testing evidence, and they always get their man. ;) They would be worthless in a real investigation.

Actually SS with audiences getting smarter and smarter, writers do a lot more research and they do come up with some clever ideas. Now they may not all be practical, but they just might come up with that one thing that could solve a case. Just as any of us who are not real detectives might. I know at this point, I would welcome anyones idea that would bring a missing child home. :)

Awwww! What a sweet thing to say, Cyber~ It isn't us who makes it a cool place tho...it is everyone who comes to hang out with us here. We would run out of good material fast if it weren't for our new members. LOL

In general I think you are right about that SS. Except Monk. LOL It seems with about 10 min left in the show they are at a dead stalemate when suddenly he remembers something that was very odd, out of place or a comment made from the subconscious of the perp that ends up being the last piece of the puzzle ! and plunk, down he/she goes!

I just thought crime writers who have to be very clever, knowing the particulars of a crime from the investigators, could scheme a way to trap the perp.

I gotta say... there are some really cool people on this forum. SS, CG and of course Scandi being among my favorites. :) Thanks for making this place the best sleuthing web site!

Aw, don't get me all emotional and teary-eyed cyber LOL I may neva stop! Then my hubby will be waiting on me hand and foot thinking he did something wrong.... hmmmmm .... not a bad idea.... *gets the tears flowin*

I really enjoy all of you too. I value everyones opinions & input in these cases. If you take a look at my profile, the profile picture sums it all up :) That is for the haters :D I'm sure they know who they are when they look at my profile haha

I totally agree with you. I came here to help find Caylee but it's the passion of the members here that keep me coming back even though many days it breaks my heart.

ETA: Thanks for the laughs tonight. You girls were on a roll.

You do have a point there! A lot of cases they research have twists and turns because they are real life and history does have a way of repeating itself even in crimes.

I know what you mean about welcoming anyone's idea about now.

If I had a few mil to play with...I would put together an undercover team and we would be infiltrating all over the place. Equusearch could handle the ground and water searches and we could handle the population. While we have joked and laughed about it tonight, I was thinking how productive it could actually be. People are leary of strangers walking around town, but if we became neighbors...well...that is a different story. The only problem I see is we could never discuss it online. LOL

What a neat thing to hear from you Cyber, master of Geeks. lol But I agree with SS that it is the combination of everyone here who cranks the wheel even when it needs grease. If you look at the panoply of posters who frequent this forum it is amazing, the diversity their personalities and background they bring to us in our Sleuthing.

I hope tomorrow we delve into the possibilities with the white car. Theoretically. Why was Lindsey afraid, her girlfriends had to know something, up on Maple out of habit - well I can't think much anymore tonight. But there must be something clever that could be done in the ferreting. xoxoxox

. . . unless it was in a closed thread. xox

It does break your heart. I have always said that those who perpetrate crimes against children are the worst offenders. Those little people look to us for trust, guidance and protection and when someone takes advantage of that, you literally want to choke them. And I'll be honest, I have no, and I do mean zero, tolerance for sexual offenders.

Lately we have read about these guys getting out and still being rated level II or level III, then not registering. They know the police don't have the manpower to track them down easily. What I don't understand is, if they knowingly let these guys back on the street, aren't they just as guilty? Why does another child have to be subjected to some level of pain perpetrated by these animals before they get locked up again? If they don't have the manpower then they should at least have to be electronically tracked. The laws don't make a lot of sense to me. When someone is convicted of a sexual offense against a child, they should forever be labeled and tracked, without exception if they are deemed to reoffend. In my book it is truly madness to let a known offender ever walk the streets unmonitored. Time servered or not, the greater good of the public and the nature of these crimes should outway any freedoms SO's have.

Sorry for my rant. I am very passionate about this subject.

I would do that too SS. Wouldn't it be nice to have the money so you could spend your time helping others.

Sure you could discuss it, in a closed forum. If you are not an Official Investigator how can they stop you from sharing information that you have dug up and post on a forum?

There have been lots of groups formed that have no legal power, yet assist the police. Like the Guardian Angels for instance.

Don't worry about the rant as we all pretty much feel the same way. The laws are inadequate. The punishment is not equal in any way to the crimes being committed. The judicial system appears to be softer on sexual offenders than any other crime (I have seen people who abuse animals or get caught smoking pot get stiffer sentences than child predators). There is no rehabilitation for sexual offenders yet they let them walk our streets and live among us...until they are caught again and the revolving door hits them in the @ss as they are back out on the streets before the ink is dry on the arrest warrants. We should be angry! The system doesn't work and they are doing nothing to fix it.

i wish there was some more info on the white car situation ... it would be nice to be able to dig up something on it. I'd love to see what the scariest 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in McCleary looks like too hehe

It's 420...I'm gonna finish off this bowl of ice cream then I think I'm going to curl up and get some sleep :D i'll be here for a big longer though...

My eyelids are half mast, but what a night this has been. I haven't laughed so much in about a week. LOL

And I can go to sleep tonight with a positive feeling in my gut. There is much being done to solve this case that we are not privy to. I do believe that with all my heart and it will come to fruition IMO

Thanks to Animal or the powers that be for letting us go off track a bit, here and there. In the morning I hope she keeps her coffee away from her keyboard. :)

And I want a T shirt like your FBI one SS. :D:

Sweet Dreams xox

Okay Guys - check this out: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32072451

Some 50ish year old man, driving a white van with WA license plates tried to pick up an 11-year old girl in Santa Barbara, CA. I wonder if their is any connection? Maybe McCleary LE should get in contact with Santa Barbara LE?

Salem

And he tried to lure her this way:

"The guy was just sitting there and I was about to turn the corner and he yelled, 'Hey, you want to come help me look for my puppy?'"

It's been said on here that Lindsey was an animal lover, and something like a lost puppy could've have lured her. It could very well be connected. Nothing can be ruled out yet. Good find.
