Autumn, it is essentially impossible to turn south out of the car wash. You HAVE to exit going north but there is an easy route back to the boat launch or Lowe's by turning at Hawley Street.
branching out in a different direction for a second... Not being local, I keep coming back to the fact that there is no known murder scene. I am drawn to the 911 call that came in the same night she went missing close to midnight. I know it was out of town, but perhaps that is where the murder occurred, and the body was then transported later to the scene of discovery. Maybe the murderer got rid of her cell phone earlier and she made a quick last ditch effort to call 911 and all that was heard was the crying and then click. It was at a convenience store. I don't know if this would be a possibility, but given the complication of all the involved areas, maybe they had ties to an area out there where the call came in? We are all assuming the body was placed there the same day, but maybe it was brought to town days later? Just a thought. That call bothers me...
Locals, how far from town to where that call came from Leavenworth?
IMO - The fact that the male was riding around town with MAC (at the car wash), makes me think that person is NOT involved with the crime, that it occurred after they went their seperate ways. If it was an intentional (planned) act he obviously wouldnt be riding around with her before hand. That does leave the option that it was unplanned (rage).
What do you guys think??
IMO - Also, the fact that LE hasn't publicly asked about anyone seeing her around Dusty's/car wash (like they have about the boat launch) makes me believe that LE has already confirmed the ID of the male in the car and has questioned him.
Thoughts???

That call was made from Dan's Foods. A local owned grocery store. It is right on Hwy 2. Between 20 to 30 minutes to Wenatchee.
Is there any chance at all, that MC's body washed up on shore where it was found? It was not found until 4 days after she went missing .. just curious ... ?
WC has many listings up here in Leavenworth. Also Dans closes at 11m I thought it was odd that a person would not go into store where there are people so caller went to pay phone.

I am inclined to think that if that call was from MC's cellphone, LE would know about it even if they hung up quickly. Call display will tell you the caller's phone number as soon as it rings. The only way they wouldn't know who made the call, was if the phone # was unlisted. They don't have to keep someone on the line for a few minutes to trace a call these days ...
:twocents:
I think the only way that the male passenger is of great significance to LE is if the person is someone who has gang connections or is a complete new POI. If the male was someone close to MC (secret bf, relative, etc) and in fact the killer, any evidence in the vehicle could easily be explained by a defense attorney as having been there from previous interactions.
It was Dan's, right? If so, that's in Leavenworth proper.
Leavenworth to Wenatchee is about half an hour, depending on road conditions.
(I don't live in Wenatchee but on the other side of the hills close to US2, go camping there all the time.)
Confirmed: Dan's closes at 10pm 7days a week.
