WA - Major security incident at SeaTac Airport. All planes are grounded, Aug 2018

  • #21
That isn't that far from Ft. Lewis. If it was shot down, it was for a good reason.
If it was a stolen plane there was every good reason to shoot it down, however close it was to anything. It is not like joyriding in cars.

Is this another way to suicide by cop?

Yeah, I assume they'll shoot down any stolen plane now, but there is a difference between over the Cascades and near a major military installation. I doubt they would have let him try to land it. Apparently ATC was trying to get him to keep it over the water.

I'm listening through the archive of the radio chatter on the #seatac hijacking. Below are some of the clips.

"I've got a lot of people who care about me. It's going to disappoint them to hear that I did this.... Just a broken guy, got a few screws loose, I guess. Never really knew it, until now."

OK, so, Washington State just legalized marijuana. I don't want to disparage those who partake of this substance but I do want to ask, does this guy sound like he has been listening to a Cheech and Chong album or what?
