There are a lot of people making excuses for him. One person on Twitter said he sounded "likable." I think he sounds like a moron. Hope nobody was hurt where he crashed the plane he stole.

I do not think so. Hourly wage for Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) says salaries typically range between $35-$46/hour. Maybe if he was some really junior guy who helped get the wrenches or something.
