=====We still know so little about *Nancy* ... What made her tick? Was she a free spirit, was she a homebody, was she lonely and seeking company, who did she talk to about her personal life and the intimate details only close friends share?
She went to the store after she was dropped off from work Friday right? Did she attract someone's attention that night? Did they follow her home, drive on by and then circle back later, creating some excuse to knock on her door? Get her outside and then grab her? The one thing that bothers me about this is the lack of a scuffle. It either completely happened outside or it was someone she knew.
Me too Gaia, I waver between someone known to her and a stranger. Wish we knew more about the married co-worker.

Nancy drove a different co worker home that Friday night.
She stopped at the grocery store in town on her way home.
That was the last time she was seen.

Dreamweaver (or anyone who might know the answer) -
Have just re-read all the posts about Nancy, but I might have overlooked this info. You say she was last seen "at the grocery store .... on her way home" on Fri. night. So - when did her ex-husb. pick up the girls ---- Fri. evening after Nancy came home from the store, or did he pick up the girls and then Nancy went back out to the grocery store, or had the girls gone to their Dad's prior to Fri. or ????
Just trying to pinpoint, for sure, when she was last seen and by whom. Thanks.
========I believe he picked up the girls at childcare, he did not see Nancy that Friday. Grocery store was the last seen.
I feel so sad for Nancy's girls and family, I'm sure this time of year is doubly hard for them. From what I've read she did not have a risky lifestyle and she was taken from her own home. She had no known enemies, was stable in her life. It's just plain scary what happened to Nancy. I agree with you dreamweaver, I think someone had been watching her ...
Hi Miss Scandi ... Dreamweaver is really the fact person in this case. So I would like to hear what her opinion is on whether Nancy was taken from inside the house or from outside. Couple of things we do know.
I have never heard that there were any clues which indicated whether she was taken Friday or Saturday night.
- The front door was ajar.
- A single glass of wine was on the coffee table and the TV was on.
- She smoked outside on the front porch, not inside the home.
- Her purse and keys were inside the home.
- No sign of a struggle anywhere in or outside the home.
A possible theory; someone knocked on her door or saw her on the front porch. They posed a question or otherwise approached her and she was taken in a manner that left no signs of a struggle. Could someone have followed her from the store she stopped at on the way home from work? This case is a little similar to Lindsey Baum's case, Nancy literally disappeared with no trace.
goombah: Bev,Dear Friends,
I apologize that it has been so long since I last communicated with you. I have had a killer work schedule the last several months and I am finding the holidays difficult this year. Nancy weighs heavily on my mind and I can only imagine what her family is facing this holiday season.
First, I owe each of you a huge debt of gratitude for your help in trying to locate Nancy Moyer. Searching for Nancy has not been an easy task. I thank each and every one of you for donating your valuable time in helping with the searches. I also thank those who have helped with fund raising efforts. I never realized how difficult it is to do this type of activity especially in light of the economic hard times we have all been facing this past year. You are all amazing!!
We have raised over $3,000 to date and will be giving that money to Nancys mother who has indicated she wants to put it in a college fund for Nancys daughters. We are discussing future fund raising options for the upcoming year, but have nothing concrete set at this time.
We have searched north, east, and west of Tenino, but havent done any searching south. I have four locations south of Tenino mapped out that I would like to search in January/February. For safety reasons, I would like to search these four areas as a group and not spread out like we have done in the past. Weather permitting, I hope to get things organized so we can go out on January 16, 23, or 30. I will let you know via email and hope you can join us.
Looking back on this year, I only have one word that describes it for me surreal. I never dreamed last Christmas the events that would unfold that would forever change my life and the lives of so many others. On the up-side, I have met so many amazing people (each of you) who constantly remind me how powerful the human spirit is.
Please have a safe holiday. Take care of each other.
Bev

All good thoughts Scandi ... If only we knew.
I did a quick google search, before writing this post. No recent stories in the news.
I have often wondered why her family is not out in the media keeping Nancy's case
at the forefront. IIRC someone stated they were very private, this was long ago in the beginning. I believe she has parents and a sister in Washington.
My thoughts go out to her two girls, this was their first Christmas with out their Mother.
