NamUs only has this photo of a house listed on her profile. I assume it's Nellie's former home.

I can't get this lack of information. There's nothing, a photograph of a house and a general physical description...
What were her routines?
What circumstances surrounded her disappearance?
Who notify her disappearance to LE?
Did she live alone?
Did she have problems? Any enemy?

There's not even an article about her.
May her family, friends or neighbours provide some information?

Nellie Louise Davis disappeared from Duvall, Washington on January 27, 1975.

Please help find a photo and more info on Nellie.
This is my great aunt. I just started looking into the disappearance of her. She disappeared from our family farm in 1975 from Duvall washington state. My dad said she walked to the mailbox to get the mail and never returned. My grandpa is her brother and just recently passed but I would like to look into or possibly help bring closure to my cousin who is her son.

Does she have family DNA on file?

I'm not sure. I'm going up there next month and thought about going to the sheriff's office to ask.

I would. If there's DNA on file that can help solve the case, even if she has dental records on file, too.

Could you add a photograph of her? Any detail about her life?

I'm reaching out to family to try and get pictures of her and learn more about her life considering this was way before i was born. She disappeared around the time ted bundy was active in that area from what I've been reading. Two of his victims were found shortly before she disappeared.

Hi @brightshelby,

It appears there is something identifying on file for Nellie in order to have 4 auto rule outs. Possibly dentals, fingerprints or DNA.

By January 1975, Ted Bundy had moved to Utah. In mid January, 1975, he murdered a woman in Colorado. I noticed the first newspaper link mentions the bodies of two of his well known victims being found nearby where Nellie lived. I'm not exactly sure what he was doing past a certain point in Jan of 1975. The Ann Rule book about him ( she knew him) called "The Stranger Beside Me" says he was visiting a young woman in Seattle until Jan 23. I couldn't seem to find any info on what he did after that. Apparently, the police at the time thought Nellie Davis's disappearence was linked to her being despondent in recent months, judging from the newspaper articles. I was about to post the same.
In fact, there's even a phone call that placed him in Salt Lake City that very day.

That's on page 33 of that I see. I looked for something concrete like that about that very day so I'm glad you found that. He obviously had nothing to do with this missing woman's disappearance then. My initial reaction was that Nellie Davis's disappearence likely had nothing to do with him, but I wasn't totally sure.

Hello. It's taken me quite some time to find any info. I've tried looking through archives for newspapers. I'll have to look at the one above. I didn't know her first name till today. Looked up the marriage license. Always thought it was Eleanor. She was my grandmother. No one in my family will talk about it. Only in last year did my Dad really ever talk about her. I was surprised to see the report though, as the version of the details I had were a little different. Could be my misunderstanding, could be a difference in remember by those whom this traumatized. Wondered if by providing DNA to a geanology site if that would help figure out what became of her. All I ever knew as a kid was a single black and white photo. I was under the premise she had died. But the story I was told, is she just walked out of those house one day. But that house would not have been in Duval. The one shown is the Bright family property which I'm very familiar. But my understanding was they lived in North Bend, off of North Fork rd at the time. But I could be wrong on that. I've always been too afraid to bring it up to anyone. Seems to be too painful of a chapter for anyone in the family old enough to relive.
