This, of course, would be a nightmare for Whitney, his ex-wife. She would always be looking over her shoulder, I would think. I mean, if he could kill his daughters, what would keep him from coming back to get her because she refused to reconcile with him. I hope and pray that they find him, dead or alive.

He has done everything he could have already.
Punished her by killing her three beautiful daughters whom she loved.
He doesn’t need to get back at her. Whitney’s life is totally broken. He had a kind and wonderful woman who bore him three daughters and he did this to her.

Just a FYI that your Citizen app is putting out week old news. At least in this particular case it is. I wonder if they realize they are very behind with the news? I know if I owned the company I'd want to know so I could fix that.

On Thursday, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison confirmed to KING 5 that blood samples from the area matched Decker’s

This MSM is only a day behind (it came out Friday, citing an event from the day before). That's much better timing cuz news can change so fast!

Sorry if I missed this, but did they happen to announce/speculate what his injury may have been judging by the amount of blood there? Thank you in advance!

The camp crime scene

McLeod was on his way to work when he got the email. The missing girls' family had told law enforcement that Decker was likely headed up Icicle Road to go camping, the deputy recalled.

McLeod, 48, called his office and said he had a good idea where to find the father and his three missing children.

"There is no one more familiar with Chelan County and the forest more than (McLeod)," Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison told USA TODAY. “He’s been our lead coordinator for the search and rescue team and is also a helicopter pilot for the agency."

Wenatchee police pinged Decker's phone and tracked it to an area near Leavenworth, McLeod said, about 20 miles northwest of where the girls lived.

“I hopped on my dirt bike in plain clothes (to blend in)," said McLeod who has worked for the sheriff's office for two decades and spent the last nine years as a full-time forest deputy.

“We know, positively, that all of the DNA samples recovered belong to the same, male, subject, who we believe is Mr. Decker,” the CCSO said in a press release Tuesday. “With this evidence, along with the other evidentiary items found at the scene, we do not have any reason to believe there are any other suspects.”

Icicle River runs along the Rock Island Campground. IMO, Decker will be found in the river. It's not been safe to enter the river but the water will recede by July and this will come to an end. He didn't venture far from the campground. Anything of value to him was there. JMO

Not that I've seen. OPs have opined one of the girls fought back and maybe kicked his nose, causing a nose bleed. Or perhaps he was injured 'cleaning' an animal or fish he killed. I don't think we know how old or fresh his blood in one handprint was.

With this renewed focus on the DNA samples taken from the two bloody handprints on TD's truck, I don't believe we've received an update on the animal blood found in the second handprint.

If one handprint was TD's blood, what animal's blood was in the other hand print? IOW, I presume TD had the blood from an animal on one hand.

It truly may be a moot question, but IMO, it remains unanswered by LE. Some here thought TD's dog had been injured and TD had its blood on his hand. But the shelter pics of TD's dog from MSM did not indicate any injury to me.

Was the hand print with animal blood simply a print following an old hunting or fishing kill?

Or was it recent, possibly indicating whether TD lived a day or two at the campground after his girls were dead? Or could recent animal blood indicate he prepared to be on the run by killing and cooking fish or other game?

Seems like a waste of time to ask such questions, since it really may not matter or perhaps cannot be answered. But my sleuthing mind is curious. ;)

IMO

He may not agree with you, if he's still alive.
I hope for Whitney's sake that he's found dead or alive. MOO

Revenge is a powerful thing that festers and grows. If not captured or dead, he could turn up months/years in the future.

I hope you are right. I would prefer that outcome more than the 'not knowing' and a mystery... I would love him to be held accountable but he has to be found for that.

And the guilt LE would feel if they do declare him likely deceased and something happened. That's why they are trying so hard to find him, dead or alive. Everyone needs that closure.

I could see him injuring his dog during all this, even in a small way that wasn't obvious, during a struggle to tie him up, etc., Like grazing the inside of the dog's ear with a fingernail, or if the dog bit him scraping inside the dogs mouth as he tried to pry his teeth off. JMO

Yep. What a trash heap of a person.

Yes. He can be described as such, but he apparently wasn't always a trash heap. He was a military guy, clean, described as quiet and hard-working by a military mate. What happened?

MOO self centeredness happened.
First it ruined his marriage and then he continuously doubled down on being right in his grievances.

He might have injured himself on purpose given what he did and is now dead from then jumping in the river - maybe dogs will finally find him in a remote section this summer.

I had that same thought last night....

What if TD slit his wrist as a final act, closed the tailgate of his truck leaving a bloody handprint, then walked into the raging river and bled out, drowned, died of hypothermia, or all of the above?

While I was squarely in the "TD escaped long before LE found his girls" camp, I now lean more to him having ended his life after his alleged crime. IMO his mind was just too far gone to go on.

Then there would have been an obvious blood trail to follow. There's been no mention of blood anywhere but the prints on the car.

Unless it rained in the 3 days between the alleged murders 5/30 and when LE found the girls, 6/2...

However, per Weather Underground there was NO rain in East Wenatchee, WA 5/30 to 6/2. That's the closest I can get to the campground.

So your point is well taken. If there'd been a TD blood trail to the river, certainly LE would not have spent ~$6M searching the mountains and woods...

...Or maybe they would have still searched the woods because they'd have to consider the possibility TD might have faked his demise.

IMO.

I agree with your point and @RedHaus has an interesting theory too.

Does anyone remember how close river is to his truck? If he had on a coat or long sleeve shirt, would that absorb the blood until he got to the river? I imagine if he went in the river, he'd be wearing the clothes he had on.

I wish he'd be found soon, dead or alive.

"I know that we've heard some accusations that we might be out looking to do harm to him," Sheriff Morrison tells PEOPLE. "I'm like, 'Yeah, that's not how we do law enforcement here in Washington state.' We're making sure to bring him in safe and care for him. If he is injured, we'll make sure he gets medical attention and if he's deceased, we're gonna investigate it and determine a cause of death."
