IMO,the only real step, it seems, in, addressing our countries many problems is term limits for congress, Period. These days they seem to spend their workdays either campaigning, or on investigative committees on colleagues in the other party.
They then, years later, release a a1200 page report that no one reads, that is filled with fiscally meaningless suggestions. The got printing office prints xx amount of copies. They are then placed in the got printing office , gathering moth balls . They only seem to dine vacation and fight with the other party thats it.
In private sector if you dont do your job your leave. That simple.

We spend a billion dollars a year on this madness! Term limits, that seems to be the only beginning.
the infamous Do Nothing Congress of 1948 did more.
this year have approved just 55 laws and,
Bridges have been named, veterans affairs hospitals dedicated, and old laws have been renewed. But little more.
he Violence Against Women Act was renewed; legislation was passed to keep the governments helium gas reserves open; and Congress came to an agreement to fund the government more than two weeks after the October shutdown.
