I just can't even imagine leaving the area until there was a poster in the window of EVERY business in Moscow, Lewiston, Troy , Kindrick, Julietta, Genesee, Pullman, Clarkston, the list goes on...and those are all towns within a 50 mile radius...

I just wanted to say welcome again to any locals or those who know Rachael. We really do appreciate having you here. There are a few things to keep in mind, though.

Before you post ANY inside information that could help this case PLEASE report it to the police first. Here at Websleuths, we don't care about having "scoops" or "bombshells." We care about the cases, the people involved, and making sure Websleuths is not hindering the investigation by allowing people to post inside information that the police do not have yet.

Unless what you are saying can be verified by law enforcement and/or the media, it is not considered a "fact" here. You may personally know for 100% certainty that it is true, but unless you are verified and/or can back it up with a link, we do have to consider it to be a rumor. This is not to single anyone out or to ignore information, but to maintain the integrity of a case and keep the best interests of the victims at the forefront.

I couldn't agree with you more, I jsut dont understand it, unless again they know something we dont. Which we all know is possible, but WHY Riggins??? That makes NO sense to me at all!

I agree-maybe they found info on the phone records. Speaking from experience, it doesn't take long to investigate or obtain phone records. And, Riggins Jet Boat Races were held on the weekend Rachael disappeared. I wonder what CC's hobbies are? Hunting, fishing, etc? We were in Moscow last weekend and took our time driving home, scanning the fields, ditches, back roads, saw nothing. I just wish Rachael could be found!!

Hi Peeps!

I have been following this case and have been posting updates on another blog site, but it appears this is the happening place this particular case. I see there are a lot of locals posting on here and that is AWESOME! I was born in Lewiston and partly raised there, but have since moved, although my family remains in the Valley. I visit yearly!

This case is so sad and my heart goes out to her daughters and sons for that matter.

My Aunt works with Rachel and has also been devistated by her Disappearance.

I pray Rachel is found SOON!!!

And what better place to cover a crime then somewhere where LE is looking the other direction. Some people think the more people the less attention they will draw to themselves. IMO it could be what he/she had in mind. All those people yet no one looking....... HERE.

I can't imagine the family wasting there time searching Riggins without having a reason for doing so. I'm sure they have more information than what the media is giving us, considering the media isn't giving us much information at all.

I can understand why the police are keeping information under their hats, but if they have information that could help the public help them, I wish they would share it.

I have been to every town you mentioned-there are posters in all of them. :aktion033:Everyone I have talked to is aware of Rachael's disappearance-from locally to St. Maries, Clarkia, Bovill, Elk River, Grangeville, and beyond. And, like said earlier, there ARE hundreds, if not thousands, of miles of forests and fields, and abandoned homes, etc in between. I just hope she if found ok.

If it was clues and info....the LE would be searching....not the family...and Riggins is TINY and right on the river..... like when the fishing is peak or jet boat races are going on it is PACKED....not hiding in plain sight packed....no place to park.....cars lined up for miles along both sides of the highway.....barely room to drive.....everyone knows everyone....not room to breath packed....

I deal with the public all day every day and you would be shocked to know how many people don't even know that this is going on....

I was mainly going off the fact that I have seen posters here and there but not many......

Boy, you hit that one on the head! I've been to Riggins hundreds of times, before, during, after the boat races and rodeo. :crazy: I suppose the family might be going that way to talk to locals from Clarkston to Riggins and hang flyers, which would make more sense. You are right, I can't imagine why LE would not follow-up on a lead if there were one, and have the family do it instead. Was just a thought--

I think the family has some info we do not, but even at that I think it is limited. The LE can only say so much so anyone before it blows their case, so I am sure that even what the family knows the LE was vague in telling them.
