Now for the last Doe of today. A new John Doe, Jane Doe, and Unknown Doe every other day! Let’s help these people get their names back! The focus of my posts will either be frozen cold cases from decades ago or cases from within the last year. Tonight’s Unknown Doe was found in Seattle. Check out their Namus here. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

On March 8, 2023 in Be’er Sheva Park, park personnel were cleaning the park when they came across a human cranium.

It was determined that the decedent was a mix of many different races. Hispanic, Pacific Islander, Native, Asian, and another unknown race. They were about 16-35 years old at the time of their death. Their height and weight are unknown as only their skull was found. Hair, eye color, and gender are also unknown.

I love this mission of a new thread every other day! But let's get this thread moved to Unidentified. I alerted a mod. :)

I'm from the Seattle area. Seattle wasn't like this when I was a girl growing up here. The last several years it has sadly been going to hell in a handbasket. Many, many dead homeless folks and getting worse by the day. It's especially awful when cause and manner of death and personal characteristics are unknown.

With how bad it has gotten in Seattle, I'm convinced that (if they haven't already - I don't really follow many local cases) the city is going to have to start cremating Doe remains and putting them in a common grave like in Los Angeles County.

I misclicked, whoopsie! I do have a feeling that they may have been homeless or transient. I wonder if any tents or makeshift shelters were found near the skull. Hoping that cremation doesn’t happen. They should at least save like a tooth or something for DNA if they are to cremate Doe remains.

I don't know specifically about the Be'er Sheva Park, but I do know that pretty much all parks in Seattle proper and the surrounding areas are heavily occupied/used by the homeless population so I would assume this to likely be the case with Be'er Sheva Park, too. Even if there were no tents nearby, since this person hasn't been identified in two months (which is longer than it should be in this day and age), I think they were likely to be out of contact with family.

A skull found in Be’er Sheva Park in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood is now believed to be a victim of homicide.
[...]
The medical examiner found evidence the victim was stabbed, and the death was ruled a homicide.

Nice clues! Any way of possibly finding clues as to who the perp was?

Have you seen reports that indicate a perp was identified?
Haven’t found anything regarding the perp or the unidentified.

Hey guys! I’m going to list 2 potential matches for this individual. Based in race and age, from the past few years. Missing persons in CA, WA, and OR.

Odessa Jones, 39 year old Native woman. A bit older but still a possibility as it isn’t too far off. She is believed to be in the Seattle area. Missing since May of 2022.

Zachary Zazueta, 28 year old white, Hispanic, and Native man. In the age range, missing from Shelton, WA. Same state! Missing since November of 2021.

So they were stabbed in the head? Is that a common section of the body to be stabbed in? They dont have any other bones do they?

Often times when they list all of those races they often simply mean that the deceased could be any of those races. I dont think they are necessarily saying that this person is a mixture of all those races.

Normally it would say Uncertain in such a case, no? Strange.

Different agencies document things differently. I have seen some use "Other" or even "None" for uncertain heritages.

I was always confused by the “other” heritage. What could it possibly be?

This is interesting and sad. That park is in a lower income part of Seattle, on the water, although there are nicer waterfront properties close by. There's lots of tree coverage and a big parking lot. It could really be any homeless person, runaway, or missing person at all with how few details there are

John Montgomery missing from 4 miles away in Renton, a 1-hr walk or one 30 minute bus

Fernando Cardenas told his girlfriend he was at a McDonalds and then disappeared - there's a McDonalds a 10 minute walk from the park. (dif zip code listed though)

Saul Fernandez last seen in nearby Normandy Park

Marizela Perez missing from the U District but from Rainier Beach....I hope this case is solved very soon. Her house she was last seen at is 1.2 miles or a 25 min walk from the park, but she was last seen heading north towards the U District, not south towards the park. I am almost positive she was last seen at the Safeway in the U District heading north from there.

Nguyet Nguyen missing from nearby Duwamish area, last seen going to her boyfriend's house
