WA - Seraya Aung Harmon, 2, Pullman, 29 May 2024 *father and daughter went on a fishing trip in Montana but did not return* #2

I know how it works, just doesn't mean I have to like it. That said, I honestly don't know why this case caught my attention or why it still bothers me so much.
@Lorenathered Caught your attention.

Maybe because ---
First news for several days:
Toddler & Father go missing at same time? On a fishing trip?
Stirs wild speculation that Mother was somehow involved?

Or a different reason? One of several hinky factors before more info about these circumstances came out.
imo

@Cat4 , I'm not seeing the lock icon, but I'm also terrible at tech stuff 😂, would refreshing the thread maybe help? I hope you're able to get it straightened out!

@Cat4 I just wanted to clarify my previous post! I meant that I am terrible at tech stuff, not you! As in, I'm not seeing the lock icon, but that could be the fact that, in addition to not seeing the lock icon, I also personally am bad at tech stuff! So you may not want to go by what I am able to see 😂 I apologize if I didn't make it clear that I was only referring to myself with the tech stuff!

No worries! I totally understood. And I’m not good with tech things either.

Any update on Aaron or Nadia? I believe Aaron is in jail? Thank you

US Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Washington August 9, 2024 statement entitled ‘Moscow Man Indicted for Conspiring with Son to Commit International Kidnapping’. Regarding charges for Aaron Aung and his father James Ton Aung.

Curiously IMO there is no mention unfortunately of Aaron’s girlfriend Nadia Cole in that announcement.

Note that statement is from circa August 2024. Not sure whether some newer or more recent. Nothing was readily located. MOO

Also an August 2, 2024 statement entitled ‘Pullman, Washington Father, Who Allegedly Took Child from Washington to Mexico, Indicted on Federal Kidnapping Charges’ from that same office on the son, Aaron Aung:

Sure wish IMO there was more word and activity on this case. SMH.

And jumping off the prior post for two corrections. Father’s name is apparently James Tin Aung. (Spell correct seems to have thought otherwise and I missed that.)

Nadia Cole (NC) is mentioned in the second link post from the US Attorney’s office where it mentions the actions of the son. MOO

I'm not expecting much, if any, news coverage on the case. The little girl was found and brought to safety, thank goodness. So now it's basically a custody case gone wrong rather than a murder case. It's not really "news."

Pretty sure family of NC has made sure a LOT of the coverage is limited (daddy is quite successful) but this should be talked about since this is absolutely a crime. Hiding a child and absconding to Mexico!?!? Absurdity. The beautiful couple should be ashamed and prosecuted to the maximum degree.

I suspect NC will be signing like a bird to get out of any culpability, move on to law school, and live a fabulous life.

PommyMommy posted this in May, so there should be some action soon for all three…I hope.

Jaimes had intended to plead guilty at some point? I could be interpreting this motion wrong, but I thought everyone in this case had pleaded not guilty so far. IMO

Excellent! I was just wondering about this case but could not for the life of me remember the last name (and Googling "man abducts child with girlfriend unfortunately turns up way too many results).

I do feel for the girlfriend. Seems like she got caught up in the mess.
