Edit. LE say the pictures come from local retailers. THe above website gives addresses and pictures to all the local businesses. I am steadily going through each of them trying to find those doors, such a shame there is no inside pics

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!! I enjoy so much reading everybody's opinion.....I too believe she left them alone for periods of time. I truly believe Solomon wants his baby boy back home, does Sky not look just like him? Beautiful baby!! I think the key to this investigation is to talk to the little girl--and I'm sure LE has to an extent. All these babies just vanish and it truly breaks my heart. I'm with you guys, just didn't want to post it, I too believe he was never in the car that day...I believe it was a story she made up maybe from watching Law and order the night before? Sigh. I wish I could believe it but eyewitness accounts are notoriously unreliable and I question why the person waited so long to report the sighting and why LE is asking the eyewitness to get the surveillance tape themselves. Seems like LE isn't taking the "lead" very seriously or else they would pursue it to the ends of the earth.

He reported the sighting on Nov 23rd. Two weeks after Sky went missing. Not everyone watches the news and follows missing persons cases like we do so it's not unusual for the public to start looking for the missing child only days or weeks later. Furthermore, IKEA is not a place someone goes to everyday.

I think it's a shame that LE didn't follow up on this lead and told the guy to get the video himself? Really? I think it clearly shows tunnel vision on their part and it's disappointing considering they have released no evidence whatsoever to suggest Sky is dead.

This little boy could still be alive and until LE says he's dead, I hope and pray the public keep looking and calling in the sightings.

A possible Sky sighting in Renton | Police blotter


The following information has been compiled based on City of Renton Police reports.

A Puyallup man thought he saw Sky Metalwala, the 2-year-old boy missing for several weeks on the Eastside, at the IKEA store in Renton on Nov. 12.

He contacted Renton Police on Nov. 23 to report the possible sighting. He told officers that the child with a couple who spoke either Russian or Ukrainian looked like the missing Sky. The boy was asleep in the stroller; a girl around 6 years old was with the couple, too.

The man told officers he called the tip line set up by the Bellevue Police Department about two days after seeing the couple and child at IKEA. A Bellevue detective told him to ask the Renton Police Department to obtain store security footage from Nov. 12.

Yes it was sleuthed very early on that it's the same place and it's a bank. Can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

This has stood out more than anything with me also. Given her reclusive nature, and having heard no mention of child care previously, I have been wondering where the children were when these surveillance pictures were taken.

The mom's silence speaks louder than anything.

IIRC, the children did go to daycare so considering we don't know when these photos were taken, they may have been in daycare.

I'm quoting myself because I just thought of something. What if this guy who saw the couple with a child who looked like Sky and the other child was the daughter but his memory of the day he saw them was off. Wouldn't LE still want to see the video? What if it was the same day Sky was reported missing? Wouldn't they want to know who the couple was? What if it was Julia with another man? Wouldn't they want to know who the man is?

I think it's incredible they haven't followed up. Wow

I am glad that the conversation is going...but I still see nothing about the Arizona connection. How to uncover?

I also don't understand why it's important to identify the surveillance pic location. Anyone? The police know where it's from. What good is it if we know? Please enlighten me!

So my best guess on that photo is totally diff from yours, red head. I am not, "seeing" the curb lines, and other stuff you describe.
-I believe she is in in motion, entering a food market of some sort, and is in the outer entrance part where shopping carts are located -given the flooring I do not think she is inside the main store.
-not a sliding door, but glass window to right, and door with wooden push bar on left hand side.
-I think she's reading a "special deals" flier, heading towards her left to get a cart.
-It's a different day than Ross, due to hairstyle and shoes.
She looks more relaxed, imo, than in the other pics. Much more relaxed than the bank/Ross pictures. I wonder which one was taken first, and on what days...ie. the relaxed looking pic might be before anything bad happened, so what was that date?

One thing ya'all could do would be to post that pic on your FB wall, and ask your friends an open question about what the picture shows...lol

Once again, the the most noteworthy thing I notice in all these surveillance pictures is what we DON'T see -the children.

I tried to revive the discussion on the photo because it seems important that we continue sleuthing. I know it's hard to do given the lack of news lately but I don't want this thread to stall. When we were able, as a group, to identify the locations of the other photos, we made a map that showed a pretty direct line of travel JB may have taken and we were able to identify potential points of interest along the way such as Watershed Park, which LE ended up searching and which yielded something possibly of evidence.

I thought if we could identify the location of this photo, we could add it to the map and, perhaps, it would illuminate more about the trips JB took in that critical time period. Maybe it would lead us to where Sky is. I realize LE already knows the location of the photo but we are given charge to sleuth whatever we can sleuth and I would like to do whatever I can to help find this little boy. Even though LE knows where the photo was taken, someone on this board might be able to pick out part of the puzzle. You never know what someone may see if looking from a different angle.

I appreciate your thoughts on where the photo might be taken. I also agree that the Scottsdale connection is important to sleuth. I've been working on that one, too. LE might already have the answer on Scottsdale as well, since they might have access to online activity and phone records that we do not. Even still, I think we should be sleuthing whatever we can sleuth.

Thank you for all of your hours of sleuthing . . . . as mentioned before by another poster we were able to determine it was from inside the bank that they shared.

We believe it is a sucker that SM is offering Sky @ the bank in the pic.

We are still trying to determine where the one picture was taken. . . . some posters have felt that she has changed her sweat pants and shoes as they appear to be a different color in the one photo of her standing right next to a window with what appears to be a small table/counter, or envelope, or flat area to the right of the edge of the picture.

In the pics @ the bank she appears to be receiving papers(?) from the teller when she looks to be very upset. She was carrying plastic shopping bags (Ross?) at the time. . . . . I believe she was shopping prior to stopping in at the bank to get those bags. . . . . certainly there was more footage of her that date shopping in the various stores around the Ross.

Also, I am thinking the Ross store was near the bank . . . . or she was on foot as she would have probably left the packages in the car if she had access to one instead of carrying them.

I wonder when the car accident was with the rental car and what (who?) she hit and what was the surrounding circumstances. We have not been able to find any further info on that incident except what we heard from SM's Atty (?) early on.

Did she purchase the rental insurance with that since the family only had one car and since SM was using that car . . . the rental car is not covered under the families car insurance as their car wasn't parked and out of commission at the time. How much damage was done to the rental? Was anyone hurt? Did she seek medical treatment? Did she hit her head?

I know this is not necessarily directly related to the disappearance of Sky but it might bring more info to the surrounding circumstances at that period of time.

In the picture of SM and Sky, is that a Whole Foods sign visible through the window on the far left of the photo? If so, which Whole Foods did SM take the kids to eat? What other businesses are located in the same shopping strip?

Maybe I'm behind the times, and this is all figured out here already, but both pictures appear to have been taken inside Sterling Savings Bank, Redmond Branch located at 17875 Redmond Way Suite 110, Redmond, WA, near the Redmond Whole Foods. Do a Flickr search of "Redmond Branch Employees of Sterling Savings Bank" and you'll get an image with a matching background and the distinctive flooring.

I know this is a very small point, and bc I am not verified you can choose to disregard this info, but I am an insurance agent. Auto insurance extends to a rented vehicle for up to thirty days for your covered auto, regardless of whether or not your regular car is out of commission. Rental car companies will try to persuade you to purchase the additional insurance to cover a "gap" in valuation of the vehicle, but it is not necessary. In a standard PAP (personal automobile policy) that coverage is included. This is not to say that she wasn't signing for coverage at the rental car company (she may not have been fully aware of her coverage or expected to have the vehicle past the 30 days), but I did want to correct that small point.

Again, bc I am not verified, you can choose to disregard this info.
