After that time frame, he will be given longer visitation rights is my understandiing. This time frame is for him to re-introduce himself into the kids lives. After that, he will have more time allotted for his visitations.

It is my understanding that his visitation rights were removed when he was accused of abuse. Those allegations have since been dropped, so he now has visitation rights again. IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY everything I have read about this case so far. :crazy:

I sure wish that the person, IF there is a person, that watched the children while the parents were in mediation for all those hours would come forward.

I have a strange feeling in my gut that these children were left alone all those hours.

I agree. And if so, you have to wonder how they were left... I mean, you probably aren't going to leave two little kids like that roaming around the whole house--especially if you're as obsessed about cleaning as has been described...

Edit: Actually, they've already said no one they've found had seen the boy for several weeks outside of mom and daughter. So that pretty much seals it. Considering how that looks, you'd think mom would eagerly give the name of the babysitter if there had been one.

My opinion is that this was a trial arrangement to ease the kids back into visitation with their Dad. Likely after the initial period Dad could have requested 50/50 physical placement or overnights, extended holidays, weekends, etc.

Thats just one type of OCD correct? There is early and late onset. Late onset is almost always caused but some sort of trauma. Its like being an alcoholic. (maybe not the best analogy) You are predisposed biologically but something sets it off. Of all the cases I have encountered of late onset...a death in the family, an illness, accident etc occurred and the disorder snowballed. Isnt this why behavioral therapy is so effective? EX: You cant treat diabetes with talk therapy.

OCD has nothing to do with the case. Parents with OCD can effectively do their job. There is another condition in conjunction with her OCD. Has to be, combined with good old fashioned spite.

Although, I do not feel Sky is still with us, however, should he be found alive, I do NOT want these two children to EVER be returned to their parents. Strip them both of their parental rights. IMO :furious:

It's not the number of pictures on the Flickr page that bother me but it's how her kids are dressed for swimming that really bother my. Why is Sky wearing what appears to be pajamas and M. is practically wearing next to nothing? I would never feel comfortable having pictures of my child like that on a public website.

I want to believe that Sky is safely hidden with a loving relative or friend but there are just too many red flags for me

Im going to say it again because too much focus is being put on it...OCD has nothing to do with his disappearance. I feel pretty strongly about it. More focus should be put on the custody dynamics. Thats where the problem is.

You're welcome to your opinion, but at this point we don't really know what happened. To me it's just one more factor going to the mother's state of mind, and that's always important since she was his guardian on the day he disappeared. The custody battle is another factor, but the two things overlap, imo.

It is possible though (assuming any of the mother's account is true), that the father was having her followed (sounds unlikely, but more believable after listening to the exchange recordings) and whoever was following her took the child when she left him. Not a planned abduction just one of opportunity.

It is also possible that this woman, being from Russia, is actually (and unknown to her) the secret decendent of the Romanov dynasty, and this boy was spirited away by Romanov Ninjas in order to be crowned king when he turns 18. :crazy:

But as tempting as those theories are, I am leaning towards "Mom, already crazy, murdered her boy."

And I will bet money that the reason they called off the search that fast is that the HRD dogs hit all over that car.

Personally, I think you're both right. LOL. As ClassyT said, the OCD itself is probably not a factor in the disappearance. But her state of mind that day IS important. And I suspect the OCD was just one condition she had.

I mean, if she has truly been hospitalized 3 times, we're probably talking more than OCD.

There was also a quote they showed on the screen during NG last night that she wasn't really suicidal, but was just trying to get her husband's attention by saying she was (not sure that would be in the transcript, since no one discussed it as far as I recall) -- that could certainly be seen as evidence of a more manipulative type of disorder. As could the audios posted on her blog of the two hand-offs to dad.

I'm not trying to be an armchair shrink. I'm just making the point that if there is something co-existing with the OCD, that disorder could be very important as to her state of mind that day.

I wonder if Sky had Mongolian Spot's and his mom thought they were bruises from dad. My kids are part asian and I was told when they were born that they could appear, I wonder if she was told..The do resemble bruises..

If she didn't want him, why didn't she just give dad custody? I'm sure he and his family would've taken good care of him. That's what makes this case so sad. I hope she didn't harm him but if she did, she's one sick B.

If Sky did have Mongolian spots they would be there since birth so I'd find it hard to believe the mom thought they were bruises.

ETA: I have a child with the spots that were very dark and very noticeable at birth
