If he was granted visitation on Thursday, why has he not had contact with her? (from the GMA interview from today)

It was a long weekend. Need time for paperwork to go through and staff to supervise the visits. If I know government, they don't to s*** on holidays or weekends unless it is an apocalyptic emergency.

he didn't say he hasn't seen her.. the reporter asked if he had talked to M*** about Sky's disappearance.

eta: not to say I think that visitations have been set up yet...but merely pointing out what the question was in the interview

Ok I get it now.

I've been frustrated with the lack of urgency in the investigation, the continued coddling of Julia. If they thought Sky was alive, then the info she has would be extremely time sensitive. The sooner the better. If they believe Sky is dead, there is no urgency. More meticulous documentation for a conviction. Thus, I think LE believes Sky is no longer with us :( Otherwise they'd be leaning on her harder to find him.

I dunno Rabid, they could also think the child is with an extended family memer or even out of the country. I just don't know. This is one messed up family. :(

Well that was a pointless presser. I'm frustrated they won't apply more pressure to Julia. It seems as long as you keep your mouth shut and avoid the police you can get away with killing kids. They are really coddling her here. He said that she has given no interest in meeting, no response to their invitations, yet they hold out hope that she's suddenly going to volunteer that? At what expense? Seems pretty obvious to me that she is uncooperative. Time for a change in strategy.

I have to agree. I am pretty frustrated too. There were about three times that I wanted to add/insert :thud: to what I was reading. The only reasonable explanation for them leaving Julia as she is, for now, is perhaps they are consulting with a forensic psychiatrist/psychologist? who, based on her medical records already in the court hands, are proceeding cautiously?

My reasoning is she's not talking anyway, so in jail or not, what's the difference? but I'm not the expert here.

:sigh:

I have to say this. It drives me NUTSO how he says secreting. There's a difference between secret and secrete.

Good for them. It seems to be getting harder and harder to prove things in court these days. They will have a really good case against her.

BBM. I hope so. :sigh:

The difference for me is, she is a definite flight risk and they can't stop her.

just got done reading that declaration... wow...!

how horribly foreshadowing:
"she can fool these people, she can convince her friends and her attorney that she is perfectly normal, but one day, if she is believed, Julia is going to hurt herself and possibly the children"

Hey Badger: I think that if Ms Julia tried to get a flight that they would arrest her on the neglect charges quicker than snot... (I bet they have a plan in place)

what I find interesting:
1) they asked to change judges
2) one of them was in contempt of court (cannot tell who)
3) one of them had an attorney quit (not sure who)

veeerrrrry interesting.. thanks for sharing that link

I believe the contempt of court was related to SM being late on a child support payment. He discussed it in his January 2011 declaration.

ETA: Oops - I see this question has already been answered upthread. I'm still catching up. :)

It's something else, I'd say. It takes a few reads to really understand it all. One thing I noticed today while re-reading it is the date on this declaration is Jan. of this year. Near the end SM comments that he doesn't care/mind if she has her own place. So, I'm guessing she hadn't moved into her apt. until afterward? Also, it seems the store has been sold or closed, so I'm guessing that's where her money is coming from? (That and her personal Roth IRA?).

I am going to assume here that she is under surveillance and if she tries to go somewhere they will swoop in and arrest her. Think Scott Peterson.

Don't want to chase this down a rathole, but that's how it's pronounced.

If you are secreting bile, or secreting your treasure, it's pronounced the same way. ;D

I do think a lot of people mispronounce it SEcreting. ;D

Once they arrived back at the house, they were allowed in one at a time to head straight to the bathroom to bathe and put on their night clothes. From there, they were allowed only into the living room to sleep on the floor, again one at a time. She would not allow them to sleep in the bedrooms or have access to the closet because they were "perfect" to her.

As far as him not speaking with the daughter yet, I'd imagine that they are going to have to gradually introduce him back into her life. It's been since December 2010 since she saw him. The child was severely traumatized thanks to what her "mother" (and I use that term very loosely) has put her through.

~jmo~

I was out of town for the weekend and I'm trying hard to catch up so forgive me if I missed the link to this info previously, would you mind reposting it? Thanks!

If her lawyer is touting her instability saying she is fragile, how much of what she would say could be held up in court if it comes to that? It's proven she has mental issues. ??

**Where is she staying now? Same hotel and someone else is footing the bill?

My guess, probably one of her friends that bought the bogus false allegations against dad.

I think what this is going to boil down to, with regards to JB's cooperation is her consideration of spending any time with her daughter in the future including supervised visits, or whether she is willing to forego her parental rights all together permanently.

In which case, if she is not willing to cooperate, best for her children not to see her again. They are both young enough they'll forget mom entirely ( presuming Sky is still alive) or have very vague memories of her at best.

jmo of course.

That broke my heart, and gave me chills too. How loud does this man have to scream that this woman is a danger to the children?

Or Drew Peterson.
